Hi -

Yes, we are going to ped - neurosurgeon on Thursday of this week for his

opinion of the catscans and fusing. A neurologist and radiologist already

said there IS fusion. But.... our plastic surgeon said he didn't feel it was

significant fusion. Ugh. He actually referred us to the neurosurgeon and

made the call himself to get us in there ASAP as is 11 months old now

and never had any sort of treatment. He also scheduled us for casting

tomorrow, and he said we would need the helmet either way. If she ends up

with surgery, she'll need to wear it for awhile afterwards. So.... I guess

we'll have the answers on Thursday.

Hi we chatted on the chat site earlier. My advise is try to

interview other peads on your ins and before you change ask them

their opinion on this problem. Then you will get the referal. You

still have enough time. If you want ask your husband to chat with me

ank I will tell him how much the helmet improved my daughters head.

Also the babys head usually get worse and definatly not better unless

you are lucky enough with a miracle.

Dont get too upset my daughters head was pretty bad and I dident

start treatment till 12 mths and we did ok. Maybe more improvement if

I had started earlier but I will never know.
