    inulin (from Duncan Crow)

We've discussed inulin before. Here are Duncan Crow's comments, forwarded with permission. He adds that googling for " inulin references " will reveal the document " Inulin: A Comprehensive Scientific Review " by Tungland, which contains this information in detail. __________ Darrell, the answers to those questions are already in recent research and have also been validated by extensive practice over the last 5,000 years or so. I think the history of inulin speaks for itself. I'll explain briefly that inulin is the a SET of polysaccharides with varying chain lengths. The problem you read with " inulin " is propagated by misinformed Specific Carbohydrate Diet zealots, who to this day do not bother to differentiate between FOS, native inulin, and sugar-free inulin, which also has had the FOS removed. Inthe research, some bad bacteria can be cultured, under optimal conditions, on " native " (natural) inulin, presumably on the sugar and short-chain FOS components, in the lab, using pure cultures. But in the bowel the bad bacteria is not in a pure pathogenic culture and the good bacteria quickly assert themselves. Be that as it may, if people wish to avoid the slightly problematic (initially gassy) FOS and sugar components of the inulin, the solution is of course to use sugar-free. Looking at the research, you can see that pathogenic organisms are generally not cultured on long-chain sugar-free inulin, even in a pure culture under optimal conditions in the lab. regards, Duncan Crow

    Doug Kaufmann ~ Your Health

Pam Many things make the body too acid.... like white flour, animal fats, meat, white rice, soda pop and on and on. Alfalfa tablets as well as coral calcium and a changed diet will go a long way to bringing the body back into pH balance. Raw fruits and vegetables are also full of enzymes destroyed by heat which help the digestive system work better, too. mjh In a message dated 8/14/02 10:16:28 AM Eastern Daylight Time, pyoung1955@... writes: > YOUR HEALTH > Doug Kaufmann, Host > Family Net T.V. > August 13, 2002 > > Doug says that the pharmaceutical companies admit to > killing 100,000 > people a year. > > Doug has a new cancer book coming out in a few weeks. > He is suppose to have a website at some time in the > near future. > > Doug's guest, today, is Leilani Tejada. > Leilani talks about natural hormones and counsels > women about hormone > replacement therapy, breast cancer prevention and > treatment. > > On today's program, she talks about making the body > alkaline, rather than acid. Re: DMSO & Comfrey Root

DM, What a great idea!! I would have never thought of freezing them. I dry it for tea and poultice. I feed it to my chickens and rabbits loved, loved, loved it. I wilted it first due to its bristles. If no land, it grows in pots. I try to give it to everyone and warn them it will take over. I made a simple cream also, and to it I added mullein root and leaf along with the comfrey root and leaf. After I infused the herbs, I added the DMSO. I can use it on my tooth, my face. It heals all types of things. My fractured back, and three time slipped disk healed right up. No sign of ever being injured. I just gave some to a client with what she called pleurisy and she gained relief immediately. Used on a gentleman who shattered his foot with a sledge hammer breaking up concrete. Healed so quickly, and no trouble after wards even. I use compresses also, inbetween the cream. The cream enables me to use it on animals, like baby rescued ducks, that I would ordinarily not be able to poultice. Healed her leg up over night. I use the leaves on my garden because it heals the dirt. My tennis elbow, gone, forever so far, wrist and shoulder too. Two years now, and I use them extensively. I also used healing clay poultices with DMSO inbetween. I use it for all types of pain. Awesome stuff those two, by far my favorite combo. I would consider adding a smidge of cayenne in one, (but not all) of the lotions next time. And I hear chick weed is almost as good at realigning the spine and slipped disks as mullein, so I WILL try that in my next back tincture and lotion with DMSO, and used in combo with arnica cream or homeopathic. > > .. > Would you tell me how you use the comfrey root poultices and the DMSO?
