Guest guest
Hi bee, Whenever I eat raw eggs (either in my mayo, or in the raw egg drink) I notice I get EXTREMELY bloated, and it does not go away for a couple of days. I only use 1 egg when I make the drink or the mayo so I don't think it is because I am having too many. Any reasons for this? I was getting much better about 2 weeks ago, but now im back to my bloated, weight gained self Thank you for your response Sacha. ****Lets explore this a bit to see what is happening. Have you been using fitday.com to see if you are getting the balance you need with fats, carbs and protiens? It may not be the eggs. Can you tell me what ingredients you are using in the egg drink and how much of each please? ====the egg drink I used 1 egg, 1 table spoon of coconut oil, 1/2 tablespoon butter, 1 -1.5 cups of water, and a little bit of cinnamon ****Ok, looks fine, I see you are making half the recipe. Sounds like you need to work on your digestion. You may try taking a half to a whole digestive enzyme with this to see if it helps. If it does, you are probably having trouble digesting the oil. Read Bee's " Improve Digestion " file on her site for more information. http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com If you have been on Bee's program 3 to 4 months, are you getting 3 to 4 T VCO by now? That really helps your digestive tract heal. See Bee's article " Digestive Diseases & Coconut Oil " . If you are not already drinking Bee's Electrolyte Drink you may want to start drinking 6oz 4-6 times a day to help improve your digestion. Home made mayo? What are the ingredients in the mayo you are using? Please tell me the recipe for this also. ==== the mayo is the one on the website. I use 1 egg, 1/3 cup olive oil, and sea salt ****Ok, that is the Basic Mayonnaise recipe. If you are using a lot of olive oil, that may contribute to weight gain. I am thinking you are reacting more to the oils than the eggs. Do you use digestive enzymes? Are you taking all the supplements? Are you following Bee's plan to a T? No cheating? What are your average daily totals from fitday.com for your fat, carb and protien intake? If these are not in balance, or even if you are not eating enough (this happens to me) this can contribute to weight gain also. I have found I need to watch my food intake and make sure I am eating enough because I am so satisfied with Bee's Raw Egg Drink twice a day, I just don't get hungry enough to think of eating. When I have found myself gaining weight or not dropping weight when I know I need to, I have found if I use fitday.com, make sure everything is in balance, I am eating enough food and I up my fat levels with more VCO or butter, I begin to lose weight again. I really don't worry if my carb levels are high enough, I just concentrate on high fat, and see that my protien is up where it needs to be. Hope this helps. :-) Debra NW

So keep following Bee's healthy plan and your body will eventually come back into balance once it processes and heals what it is currently working on to help make a healthier you. Hope this helps. :-) Debra NW

I am not overweight (or pregnant!), but I can look like I'm holding a beach ball under my shirt! For me this is caused by eating fat. Am undecided whether this is due to toxin buffering as Debra says above, or a lack of enzymes, bile etc. Maybe more than one cause. I do tend to think that for me it is enzyme related, as I am finding that I can eat raw avocado, egg, cinnamon & stevia smoothies with good results (this has just dawned on me recently). But as soon as I add ghee or coconut oil, I get really thirsty & retain water. Same happens when I eat scrambled egg (even when I used only a small amount of fat to cook it in). I take digestive enzymes, but I don't think that they contain anywhere near enough lipase (after searching the net I found out that it takes between 500LU-4000LU of lipase to digest 1g of fat, the highest quantity of lipase I can find in a supplement is 300LU lipase), especially when eating within the good ratios (that would mean at least 200 capsules per day!). I am trying to convince my doctor to prescribe enzymes for me, to try out, as she can get high potency ones (I can't digest starches well either btw). It took a very long time for me to figure this out (2 years) so I thought that I would share, in case it helps. I would suggest, to the original poster (sorry lost track of who started this conversation) that you try the egg drink without the extra fat, and see if that reduces your issues, as it may be the fat not the egg causing problems. I am taking the suppliments required What are your average daily totals from fitday.com for your fat, carb and protien intake? But really the only carbs I eat is brocolli, and/or brussel sprouts.. everything else I eat is protein I would suggest, to the original poster (sorry lost track of who started this conversation) that you try the egg drink without the extra fat, and see if that reduces your issues, as it may be the fat not the egg causing problems. **** I think I will try that.
