Hi,

Does anyone out there with PA have symptoms of Raynaud's as well? If

so, is there anything you can do for it?

Thanks.

Hi vjrademacher:

I also have Raynauds. My rheumies have told me to

always wear gloves in cold weather, or even when

placing or removing items from the freezer. If your

hands do get too cold, run warm water over them. It's

important to keep episodes to a minimum, as over time

they can cause permanent damage to your skin. There's

lots of info and tips on Raynauds out there, most

health websites have some info.

warm blessings,

jane

Hi....Raynaud's is a condition that causes some parts

of your body (ie. feet/hands) to feel numb and cold.

Could sometimes be brought on by stress or cold

weather.

Thanks....

Hi Jane,

Thanks for the great tips! For my cold feet that just

wouldn't warm up, I pu them on a hot water bottle. I

checked out some websites and found some good info.

Also seen my doctor who sent me for blood tests. He's

checking first for diabetes and B12 deficiency. If

those tests are ok, then he said he'll be sending me

to a neurologist.

Bye for now.

So, is this also auto immune?

My feet are always cold unless I am flaring. They become so cold the

tips of my toes hurt like they do when you are out in snow a little

too long. My hands use to do this too when I was a teenager. Back

then if my fingers got too cold, they'd swell and itch, sometimes

hurt, and they'd turn a bluish red color.

This is interesting to find out.

Thanks.

Hi ,

That's a good question. I'm not sure. From what I

understand, secondary Raynaud's can happen with

certain autoimmune diseases, but primary Raynaud's

itself, I don't know. Your doctor would be able to

recognize that and to be honest, I don't know how they

would test for Raynaud's. Hope you find out more

info....

Thanks,

VJ
