Sudden problems with LDN

I have been on 4.5 mg. (acidophilus filler) for several years. I nrver

had major results--just better bladder control, better sleeping, and a

better sense of well-being. Still have a left side that's pretty much

dead and continue to use a cane and sometimes a wheelchair. Lately

those few benefits seem to be disappearing. Has anyone else

experienced this?

Check and make sure your pharmacy hasn't changed anything. Have

yourself checked for candida yeast overgrowth by an alternative

medicine doc. check for possible infections, bladder especially, you

may need to be catheterized to get urine for sample. Look at your

life for any undue stress. For LDN to go sour after many years use

the top culprits have been found to be stress, candida yeast and

bladder infections. One instance that's known was the pharmacy made a

change from lactose to calcium carbonate and once lactose was used

again all got better.

(aka Bren) may have a point. It may not be the meds but another

issue. Since everyone is talking

about candida, I thought I should recommend a product

that helps kill the candida without a ‘die-off’

effect (which can make you feel worse before you get better because

traditionally when you kill candida it releases

toxins). This product is called Candex and the a reliable and

cost-effective place to get it is at www.iherb.com.

With any candida

issue, it’s always good to follow an anti-candida

diet. Some are stricter than others. Basically it is getting rid of ALL

sugars, limiting fruits and starches. Good luck.

, After using LDN for 3 yrs my left leg went dead last yr. Dr. B had me on 6mg(he thought I was resistant) and thought that because the dose was too high, that is why I progressed. He feels I should have gone down to 4.5sooner, but I had not spoken to him with all his health problems. I am now on 4.5 again for 1 yr and have not gotten any worse. I knew I had to lower the dose when the stiffness set in but I called him too late. The damaged had been done. Are you very stiff on the 4.5mgs? Maybe you should call him and see if it should be lowered?

I wonder if after a while your body gets regulated from the LDN and the dose needs to be lowered?

We need trials!!! Kiki
