, you'll fit right in here! I have a 16 yr. old with Asperger

Syndrome, and a 3 yr. old who is partially vaxed. He had a reaction

to the Prevnar vaccine at 9 months old. Very attached parenting going

on here.

Hi Faith,

Thank you for your reply, i'm from Cornwall, UK. How about yourself, where

is Calif? Sorry you have been diagnosed with RA, how are you coping and what

meds are you on? So many questions!! Oh one more...do you have

children/hubby?

I live with Mark and our daughter who will be 12 soon (going on 16 of

course!!). I also have a dog, four cats and six fish! My RA has meant i was

retired from work last October (people look at me funny if i mention i'm

retired,

at 32!!!) and i've done the meds rounds.

Anyway be good to hear from you again

to get a DOC band along with therapy. Our first appointment is

tomorrow. I'm a little nervous about all he'll have to endure, but

I'm excited to get his band and for his head to start changing for the

better.

Anyhow, I just wanted to join this group to get some insight on what

the whole process will be like.

Hi Jodi,

welcome to the group. How old is Mateo? My daughter wore a starband

last year for brachy (flat in back) and did really well. It is a

relief to get started, and soon you should start seeing progress.

Let us know if you have questions or just need to vent.

Hi, . You are very smart to listen to your instincts about this. I wish

I had.

I don't think you can know if she's free from any long term side effects until

time goes by. But what you can do is keep her as healthy as you can. That

includes, as you've already decided, to stop vaccinating her.

Another thing is to try and avoid antibiotics. Vaccinated children tend to have

more illnesses, ear infections, etc. and when parents take them to the doctor

for those illnesses, most times you end up with antibiotics. Having a good

naturopath to go to instead of a drug-prescribing pediatrician is good insurance

for your daughter's health.
