Hello - sorry I don't know your first name :)

You can find the protocol for IV clindamycin and oral minocycline on

our web page at http://rheumatic.org/protocol.htm - IV clindamycin is

part of Dr. McPherson Brown's antibiotic protocol for serious

rheumatic disease. Please let us know if we can help you with any

questions.

Chris.

Hi . I took the iv's for quite a few years. I started the seven day cycle

at 300mg the first 2 days, 600mg the second 2 days and 900 mg the next 3 days,

then once a week for 10 weeks, and started the cycle all over again. After a

few years of this, I am now on the clindamycin pills, 600 mg twice a day on

Tuesday & Thursday and Minocin MWF. I have been doing this protocol since the

fall of 98 and am doing very well. But make sure you take a probiotic every

night to replace the good bacteria. Hope this helps. Take care.

Dolores and Mike for their help. It is much appreciated. We would be grateful if

we could receive once more a copy of your protocol as it pertains to the

Clindamycin IVs. We read the Roadback protocol and it shows 7 days of IVs. You

start with 300mg the first day, 600mg the next two days and four more days of

900mg. My daughter thought this might be too much for her. You mentioned five

days but did not tell us how much to take. Also was it for 10 weeks one IV a

week? And how much did you used per IV. Again to all of you who were so kind to

answer: Thanks. Take care. Schulz

, I forgot to tell you to get the probiotic with a lot of cells, mine is 10

billion. I was very tired and slept a lot at first, but got over it after a

while. Good luck.

Hi . for many years I was on the standard AP of 200mg mino a

day.Then I finally got a terrific AP /holistic doctor.She put me through

a battery of " other " tests.Found out that I have celiac dicease,many food

sensitivities and systemic yeast. All things that I did not know I had

and no symptoms whatsoever. She said I had been on Mino way too long and

put me on a series of Clindamycin I.V.s ,one full week of

300,300,600,600,900,900 1200mg and then 10weeks of 1200mg once a

week.along with 250mg Zithromax 3 time a week with diflucan.To tell you

the truth I feel worse as I am getting some terrible herxes which I

never had with the Mino.I really can't say if it is helping or not since

I feel like hell for the first half of the day. With the mino I was 99%

normal and without pain. She says antibiotics must be rotated and that

mino alone does not kill all the strains of micoplasma.I have been off

the Mino since the spring and so far the SD has not reappeared .I wll

just be on Zith until the end of Sept and shall then see what her next

step will be.Hope this little info may help you. Lynne G.
