This is a great article with tons of citations regarding magnesium.

I started on this path without a good MD -- have since found a good

ND. What I did was to supplement only magnesium for several

months, then went to a 1:1 ratio. ND supports this -- as does the

above article.

As it was explained to me -- magnesium works in two ways. First it

draws water into the intestines (drink!) and it has muscle relaxing

quality, so it helps the bowels retrain their movement.

Oxypowder is mainly magnesium.

That's the enzyme my son takes too -- one or two before every meal.

Have also found out my son has yeast -- constipation was the ONLY

indicator -- until a recent stool and urine test. Yeast protocol for

about a month now -- will need to continue for at least 4 or more

months, I think.
