Guest guest
It's been in my experience to be taken seriously, and given a little credit, the hand written/typed snail mail approach works better. Maybe it's because they feel if you take the time to write it out as opposed to doing a " general flying across the Internet " approach, then it must be worthwhile to you. That's just my guess. But, I did it both ways, and found a better response to actual letters. Followed up of coarse by phone calls. (I found NO response from the e-mail system). << We just e'mailed all of our states (CA) congressmembers asking them to support the bills. They are all automated responses. They say we have to be in their district for them to respond. Should we continue doing this? We were going to write to all the states. Thanks, Herschell & >>
Guest guest
E-mail seems to be a waste of time. We all did that several months ago with the same canned response. Write letters to your Senators. There are fewer Senators in each state and you might get more attention from them. I wrote to Charlton Heston because he is the head of the NRA and a well-known figure. He was kind enough to response (twice). You might write to him. Another letter from someone else my trigger him to look into this. His address is: Charlton Heston 2859 Coldwater Canyon Beverly Hills CA 90212 I wrote to last night but no response yet. She probably hasn't had time to get to her e-mail yet. Keep writing and praying.
Guest guest
Hi, Email is a nice forum for what we are doing to communicate with each other but, if you want to contact representatives use the phone, fax, snail mail, or even go in person if possible. You are more likely to get 'through' to the representative by these methods than using email. Once in a great while you may actually get a non-generic response with email, but that is the rarity rather than the norm. Call their offices and make it known to their staff as to the who what where and when, it's much more effective.
