Is Theracran OK?

Theracran capsules contain nothing but cranberry powder as an active ingredient.

They apparently differ from other cranberry therapies because they deliver much

more proanthocyanidins (PACs), which is what prevents the bacteria from adhering

to the urinary tract lining. I have called them up and they do not know the

sugar content exactly, but each capsule (dosage is two per day)contains 650mg of

carbohydrate, of which they guess 500mg would be the simple sugar from the

fruit. So, that would make 1gr of sugar per day. Do you think this is

acceptable?

(Background: I have been on the strict diet for over a year, with supplements,

i.e., I am a good Bee Wilder disciple. Garlic and parsley teas do not work on my

UTI's (I have really given this a fair trial, once with parsley and once with

garlic, - certainly I will do just about anything to avoid an antiobiotic

course), and because of my age - 52- I am getting far more UTI's than before -

UTI's increase at menopause.)

FYI: inactive ingredients are gelatin, tricalcium phosphate, magnesium stearate

and silicon diaxide

Many many thanks to you and your team. A year ago you single-handedly turned my

health around. In gratitude,
