Guest guest Report post Posted June 18, 1999 i forgot to add that beginning this year i am also experiencing severe heat intolerance. does anyone out there know how to alleviate this problem. i already drink half a gallon of water a day, eat only cold foods, dress practically in threads. the problem is so severe that we are installing a sun and wind solar energy back-up system to use during hurricane season. i know i would die without air conditioning with this heat intolerance; it feels dangerous. mayra

Guest guest Report post Posted March 2, 2004 Yes Sheri, She is running outside with her brother now. The rash has almost faded that was quite dark this morning. Her brother had something similar about 3 days ago. High fever, slept all day and I gave vit C every hour on the hour and he recovered in about 12 hours from start of symptoms. It was amazing. She however would not drink the vit c and whined she had a headache until hubby gave her a baby aspirin! I thought I had thrown all that allopathic stuff out! It suppressed her fever and it took a day and a half before she started looking better. Last night she was her old self and began eating. This morning she opened her mouth and said her throat hurt. I freaked when I saw this huge white spot. Her tongue looks like a strawberry. She is taking the vit C now without a fight. I really feel like Chase had this same thing but his body with the help of vit c was able to overcome it. My bullheaded little daughter is learning the hard way. Every fiber in my body says don't give her antibiotics. I am so hoping that white thing goes away! Belladonna is often for scarlet fever or similar but symptoms have to match - violent, hot, feverish, red, all of that. If she is doing well on her own probably doesn't need anything. In the past strep was feared for development into rheumatic fever, etc, but it doesn't seem to do that anymore for some reason. Just don't see it. If it were me, I guess i would just do tons of C and wait. But ifyou are going to see homepath tomorrow that is good. Guest guest Report post Posted April 4, 2005 Hi Jenie, My husband was in pain the first week and he was on vicodan. If the tylenol with codeine is not controlling your pain, call your doctor and tell him. He should be willing to prescribe something else that will work better for you. Good luck, Michele, Group ModeratorJenie <jeniejenie@...> wrote: How long does the pain last I'm sure it's different for everyone, but in general? Guest guest Report post Posted July 13, 2005 I was a over-full DD before my lift... I am not a full C to small D without implants. It depends on the amount of actual breast tissue you have. That is all the breast tissue I have... who would have thought it back when I wore a J cup while pregnant! Talk to your surgeon. They should be able to give you an idea of what to expect. And.. BTW... mine are perky and I don't have to wear a bra if I don't want to! FABULOUS! in GA > A lot of you have talked about breast surgery. Guest guest Report post Posted July 15, 2005 i had a GREAT breast lift. it was like a reduction, except only skin was removed and the tissue was kept. i was stunned that there was enough tissue to leave me with 34 full C breasts. my Tummy tuck was done at the same time--my pannus was also huge and my abdoman was totally reconstructed. it hurt like crazy but the breasts were nothing. good luck! cathy s in va > A lot of you have talked about breast surgery. Guest guest Report post Posted February 22, 2006 , I have heard the more times your stretched the more scar tissue you develop. Any Truth to that? Guest guest Report post Posted February 22, 2006 Jumping in here I had some 50 dilations (I know that is hard to believe) after my esophagectomy to great rid of scar tissue. Guest guest Report post Posted February 22, 2006 ... You are just the person to answer my old question ... when they do the dilation to break up scar tissue ... is it done in the same way. Is scar tissue more difficult to break open than the Les prior to a myotomy? Guest guest Report post Posted February 23, 2006 Just a reminder regarding your list of questions for the doctor. I believe there are a couple of list in the files. I'm sure you know this, but just a reminder in case you have not thought to look there. Maggie
Guest guest Report post Posted February 23, 2006 Hi Kathie, In my case it certainly was more difficult. They described the stricture as web like almost closing the esophagus completely. The used the savary dilators each time starting with the smallest and increasing the size to where they began to get to much resistance. They used a balloon dilator (a larger one they had to order) to finally dislodge the scar tissue. I was told that the balloon dilator was the only one that could be used to dislodge this particular stricture. It worked even though I had a small perforation as a result. I continued to receive dilations every three months, after a year or so when they were no longer getting any resistance they discounted the dilations. I haven't had one in 11 years now. That was a long answer to your question, I could have said the difference was the use of the two different dilators. Guest guest Report post Posted February 23, 2006 Hi : This is EXACTLY what I wanted to know. Don't know if you have been following my story line ... but 2 weeks ago I was going in for a dilation of the scar tissue. The surgeon thought I was growing scar tissue since the swallowing was becoming more difficult in the last 3 months. I had a barium swallow. During the EGD, they discovered that I now have graduated into a tortuous esophagus! The surgeon is quite surprised that this has come on so quickly. He thinks I must have had this a lot longer than we originally assumed. I did not have any scar tissue. His assistant told me that he dialated the ENTIRE esophagus as far as he dared, as the walls are thinning. I will actually have an appointment with the surgeon on March 16. I am compiling many questions, so I am glad I have time to think about it. I welcome any questions anyone thinks I should ask. I started a list in Word, which I will clean up before I go and make it more compact. But ... I still wanted to have that question answered, and as usual, one of the " smart ones " came to my rescue. Thank you . Glad to hear your scar tissue seems to have abated.
