Guest guest
Hi Debbie Thanks for reminding me where you are at, healthwise. Dont worry about the weight thing too much, but do keep losing. It is true that being overweight makes the treatment less effective, not to mention other adverse health effects. 3/4 stage is not the end of the road. You have a long ways to go before they would think about a transplant option. More than likely your doctors will be discussing starting you on TX on the 29th. If they say, 'go for it', do so please. I personally think it would be a wise move on your part. I know it wont be fun or easy, and it might not even work, but it is worth the try. If you can clear the HCV, all your liver problems may be lost to history, and the damage that is already done will regenerate. Hopefully one of these days I will be given the chance to treat too. Right now my heart is still holding me back. I would like to put all this HCV stuff in my past. Hang in there my friend. Ive got a feeling all will be well with you. love don in ks From: debbiecurwick <debbiecurwick@...>Subject: [ ] Re: Hi Debbie Curwick Date: Thursday, November 4, 2010, 6:36 PM Trudy, Yes< I re-posted about my U-Dub appt. a little while ago I had my first biopsy in June 2008 the result of that came back at minimal damage..grade 1 stage 1, In June of this year I had the gallbladder surgery and my surgeon took a sample of my liver to be biopsied. It came back at grade 3 cirrhosis stage 4. My gastro didn't think that it should have gone that far in just 2 yrs and he ordered another biopsy it confirmed the one the surgeon did. He then referred me to the U-Gub liver specialists. I haven't started treatment yet but may be soon. I have days where I have right side pain. My liver area is tender when pressed and some days it feels firm and I just don't feel good at all. I'll know more when I go to that appt.My memory and other cognitive functions are terrible so you're not alone there.Debbie> > Hi Debbie> I saw that you re-joined the group.> What happened?> Did you forget your password?> > Welcome back.> We love you.> > love> don in ks>------------------------------------
