LionFirstly, one of the scripts that perhaps you should look at is a good anti-depressant. Especially if you go back on treatment. Let's face it, you never gave your body the chance to really experience treatment, because the drinking and the pills were doing probably even more damage that the treatment could keep up with.I've just completed a Clinical Trial for a tx that is due out early next year probably. They have added a Protease Inhibitor to the peg-ifn/riba. This 2nd trip through treatment was certainly not a picnic for me; but, it's just the way the sides got me this time. However, in the end - it's looking as though I will get the word at the end of this month now (that I'm 6 months virus free).Gloria

Teri,

The 2nd course I went through was with PEG-IFN ribavirin. Well, we'd have made a fine pair cuz I looked the same, skeleton with skin and sickly gray. No skin color. Would I consider doing it again? Yes, no I don't know. Yes because I don't drink now and I think I could tolerate it better. Although there was some relief in drinking myself to unconsciousness so that I didn't have to feel the horrific side effects of the Tx. I really put my family through hell. My parents were worried sick. My sons thought I was going to die and it was really a bad experience for them. It has been years, but they still have emotional scars from it and they are grown men now! I don't know if I could do that to them again, not a third time. It would have to be secretive and I'm not sure I could pull it off. It isn't something easily disguised. But in my heart I really want to. The Norco is something I need to look into. I have vicodin now which is 5/500 (5mg

hydrocodone/500mg APAP) and I believe Norco is 10/325. I have a grade 2 separation of my left shoulder from a patient-induced injury when I was an EMT. I work as a tech in a couple of ERs and work tons of hours with alot of strain on my body from moving patients, so when I get a day off, I often times have to rely on the vicodin, but not by choice. I see quite a bit of talk about fibro here. Is that something common to HepCer's? I never seemed to have any issues like that. In fact, I feel pretty damned good. It's just the "knowing" that the virus is still there hiding silently that drives me crazy.

And thanks for the welcome.

Is there any chance of trying PEG interfuron ribavirin? ...snipped...I looked like a skeleton with skin....snipped...Would you even consider doing tx again?...snipped...They switched me from Vicodin to Norco because of the acetaminophen content. I still take Norco every now and then. I actually had to take 2 today. I have Fibromyalgia but the Hep is testing and undetectable.<
