Allow me to evaluate, 69 points out of 100.

Reasons:

20 point less for not having miso-soup.

10 point less for rice not shown.

1 point less for wheat by-product.(but maybe good enough)

Your challenge will be welcome anytime... ;-)

I liked your photos. You have pickled ginger and pickled garlic too.

This is a better URL for your photos, for e-mail where URLs get butchered

All members are definitely encouraged to use the group's photo

allowance on the homepage to post pics of themselves, topics of

discussion, and their fermented prides and joys! There's plenty of

space available.

Wow, drop the flax (you get your omega-3 from the mackerel anyway) and wheat

and you've got a meal to put most folks to shame, Japanese or otherwise!

Makes my mouth water. Certainly the miso soup would be a great addition, and

don't forget you can toss in some veggies to help that Na/K ratio. No need

to have that old bare bones scallions/tofu version. Spinach and carrots

work great. Now I'm really hungry...

hehehehe I enjoyed reading you zz. The last bit reminded me of an email

I received a few months ago by a local dude [whom found me through

reading my site on Culture foods of Asia, while he was searching the web

for the price of miso].

To cut a long story, he wanted to know if I was interested in getting

cheap miso from a Coles store that was local to him [but an hours drive

from me]. The price was marked incorrectly, they put the decimal point

in the wrong place. It was marked at 96C when it was supposed to be

$9.60 per pack. This dude bought the entire stock from the store at 96

cents per pack.

He dropped off 3 packs when he was in my area... it was a x-mass gift..

and as he put it, stuff the chain store.. they make enough profit from him.

Be-well,

Dom

Dom, B well? I just returned a 45$ credit that I could have kept. I like my

side of the fence. C R

Considering how Coles stuffs around its health food section customers,

I'm rather inclined to agree :)

[one week it's there, next week it's on special " end of line " , and

then... never to be seen again, even when I *know* for a fact that " it "

sells well, e.g. xanthum gum, rye flour]
