Guest guest
Is it my imagination or has this year been particularly bad for us asthma sufferers? A common thread through the posts seems to be, " This year has been really bad " , etc. My Dr. stated that this year has been his busiest since he can remember, he did not know why. I know I have been bad this year. Just a thought. Ron
Guest guest
Hi Ron: I guess it depends on where you live. I live in the Northeast (NY to be precise), mold has been bad this year. Guest guest
just wondering -- is there a website that you can go to to get teh mold counts and such? i know for pollen, www.pollen.com is generally pretty good (i think, at least!). but ther's no mold. com or anything like that. i have " my ! " set for NY, and it says molds are " moderate " but is there anything more specific?? hmmm... i'm in NY too (long island) and i'm assuming its pretty bad here. i spent yesterday picking mushrooms from my backyard (so the puppy didn't eat them). i filled an entire 5 gallon spackle bucket!! YUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my sinuses are closing in on me too -- its hard to believe that how i feel now used to be considered my GOOD days...now its my BAD days. funny how perspective changes after some xolair!! heather Carpenter <cowtrail@...> wrote: Oklahoma has been really bad. ----- Original Message ----- From: kathy eisen Sent: Sunday, October 22, 2006 2:51 PM Subject: Re: [ ] Is it my imagination? Guest guest
In southeastern NC, everyone is blaming the fact that we had no freeze in winter 05/06, so nothing got kilt. Guest guest
I would try the national weather service. They must have a website. In canada, www.theweathernetwork.com has links to american sites and there may be a pollen service. We get the type of mold and a rating of low, med, high. Guest guest
Hi , I check the pollen and mold counts at the AAAAI website, although not all the pollen counting stations seem to be consistent, active, or even accurate. (For example, this timem of year you shouldn't be seeing high tree counts in most areas of the country, and some counters are showing this!) Luckily, my local pollen counting station does counts almost every day...even on the weekends! http://www.aaaai.org/nab/index.cfm?p=pollen Also, for those who live in the middle of the country, the best pollen counting station I've found is at the St. Louis County Health Department's website. They keep track of individual tree, grass, and weed pollens...it's pretty amazing. http://www.co.st-louis.mo.us/Doh/pollen/index.cfm My doctor said the mold count has been unusually high this year in Louisville. All I have to say is...thank goodness ragweed season is almost over...until next year! Hope this helps! > > just wondering -- is there a website that you can go to to get teh mold counts and such? i know for pollen, www.pollen.com is generally pretty good (i think, at least!). but ther's no mold. com or anything like that. i have " my !
