If Xolair costs $55,000 a year, it won't take long to use up insurance, and then where will we be? This is a worrisome expense, but I'm keeping my options open. I just got a call from a company that is supposed to be looking into how much it all will cost me. But I'm still worried about insurance. What if I solve the asthma and end up with another disease and no insurance to pay for treatment. > Carol > > Where are they getting their Xolair, from the oil rich countries of the middle east? Your local gas station? (grin) Mine costs around 12,000 a year then, the EXPENSIVE and ridiciulous cost my doctor's medical group charges to give them to me. They are making my doctor start charging 114.00 a shot (up from 43.00) I am dreadidng what my " out of network " insurance is going to say about that. I have even more info about this but everytime I think about it,I get very angry. My co payment for the Xolair itself went up this year from 30.00 a month to 55.00. Thats not TOO bad. I about fainted when when I found out that my health insurance premiums didn't go up this year. It is already 1000.00 a month, 12k a year.
