Guest guest
Hi Aumesh: How are you and Raj doing? I hope you´re doing all fine. You can also read a msg I posted to sauceycakes. It says a bit about my son´s meds. well, Aumesh...as we know besides being a rare disease, AIH is more common in women and my son Allec was dx when he was almost 5.He started with higher dosages which dropped to 5mg of pred 4 times a week and 37,5mg of Imuran every day. It´s an associated teraphy that has been working along these 4 years... I wonder if you´ve heard of children who were totally cured with no more complications such as a cirrhosis or even being in a liver list.I mean is it a kind of disease that once diagnosed even at early stages the person is never cured? Will the person always depend on meds and be fragile for their immune system? Can it be just controlled with meds?Have you heard of any treatment for infants able to give a total remission? I will be able to explain the reason of my concerns after your answer. All the best for you and Raj, Ana > >Hi all! > > > >I´m looking for parents whose chd have and AIH. > >I´d like to share experiences on treatments, meds and so forth. > >Hope hearing from you soon. > >Ana > > > > aumesh (father, son Raj -- 99 AIH, 02 suspect auto cholangitis)
