Lurking - Intro and long winded.

Hello Bee and all,

My name is Debra and I live in the UK. I've been over here for 7+ years

now, from Michigan. I'll give my story very briefly.

When I arrived I weighed 115lbs. and now weigh almost 200lbs. My throid

starting acting up in 2000 and ever since it's been about a 20lb weight

gain every year since. I'm taking levothyroxine 100mg daily. The doctor

assures me my thyroid is fine now! (hmmph) I've tried every diet

possible with no luck. However after some email exchanges with Debby

Hudson a few months back I was able to lose 10lbs in the first 3 weeks.

Then tragedy struck and my FIL was taken ill with liver cancer. We made

a temperary move to Scotland to help out, he sadly passed away in

August.

While being up there I tried my best to stay on program but with all

the rotating of shifts at the hospital and all the stress I wasn't able

to maintain my dilegence and to tell the truth I've had an awful hard

time trying to get back online again. Having said that I'm back on

again full force. I just got all my supplements this week so I'm in the

swing again.

The real reason for coming out of my luring mode is to thank you, Bee

for all the hard work and time you dedicate to this site. I really

haven't had much reason to post as I manage to find all the relevent

answers to questions by searching, reading and more reading.

I'm 46 and also starting having hot flushes a few months ago and did a

search where you recommend Vitamin E. I've been taking it everyday now

as prescribed.......my hot flushes went from about 20 a day down to

perhaps one or nil a day!!!! Amazing results Bee, thank you.

COCONUT OIL - High five's to Debby. The other day you stated that you

use expeller pressed coconut oil. I've been dreading taking the coconut

oil because of the taste. It smells lovely but the thought of putting

on my food and having everything taste like coconut was awful for me I

was trying to come up with different ways to get it in. This morning my

expeller pressed oil arrived and thank heavens it's TASTELESS! Many
