Guest guest
Hi , The best thing you can do for your anxiety and to augment the diet and supplements is to practice deep breathing. When a person is anxious, they tend to breath very shallowly only taking breath into the chest area...and right in that chest ares is the body's stress trigger. So shallow brathing keeps you in a stressed state! Triggering stress hormones and depleating the adrenals. The body's relaxation response comes from a spot in the belly area, right above the navel...so breathing deeply into the belly will help trigger relaxation and ease anxiety. Check out the " Breath Properly " folder for detailed instructions. jackie > > globus, and it is associated with women btwn 30-50 who are > under stress - lol. Guest guest
Hi Jackie, I read that yoga article and liked it. I do need to work on breathing. I went to the doctor yesterday and they say its gerd - I have daamage in my throat and esophogus. Ive never had digestive problems beofre of any kind, so I think it has to do with diet, unfortunately. One of the big trigger foods for gerd is fat/grease, and then there's onions and garlic. Ive been eating a ton of these So Im cutting them out or down and seeing if that helps. I wont take acid blockers (as prescribed) because that makes more yeast. Im just not sure what I will do about hunger and calories if I dont get to eat a lot of fat. Ugh. Thanks again, jessica > > > > globus, and it is associated with women btwn 30-50 who are > > under stress - lol. Hi , like Ellen wrote (I think it was her) it is totally false that good nature-made fats or spices trigger gerd. The major problem with gerd is poor nutrition that doesn't stimulate enough stomach acid and doesn't provide nutrients required to maintain a strong healthy digestive system. The major nutrients that do that are nature-made fats. They directly heal and strenghten the intestines, and they also increase the integrity of all cells in the body. When a person consumes too many man-made fats their body's cells get constructed differently. Instead of being at least 50% saturated fat (the lungs must be much higher) like they are intended to be they are composed of too many bad fats, so they are flaccid, weak and permeable which allows more toxins into them and it makes them less capable of getting rid of waste inside the cells. Many spices actually help GERD and help heal it, and they also help control gas, help digestion, etc., i.e. oil of oregano, cilantro, thyme, and many many others. GERD symptoms are also caused by candida overgrowing in the throat, esophagus and stomach, which lowers stomach acid. The symptoms of too high stomach are exactly the same as too high. Do everything you can to aid your digestion as discussed in my article, and in the Digestion folder, i.e. lemon and sea salt drink, proteins and good fats, supplements, digestive enzymes, sauerkraut or kimchi (unheated) with every meal, etc. Cheers, Bee

I have been suffering from extremely frequent and painful LPRD(Laryngopharyngeal Reflux Disease) fr years which is actually the main thing I am trying to get rid of by fighting candida. Before I knew about candida though I tried everything I ever said to cure or help reflux. I still haven't found the cure, but from talking to enough people and searching enough online I learned that the traditional medical " triggers " for reflux in people with chronic GERD are BS. GERD sufferers get the most relief when laying off the carbs and relying on fats and proteins. I am not sure how to get rid of it, but the candida diet won't hurt in your path to doing so. It can only help. greg

Guest guest
Hi Bee, I dont imagine traditional peoples having much gerd, yet it started when I changed my diet. Im now eating all these foods and the gerd symptoms are getting worse and worse. Im trying to mitigate symptoms but am also worried about my esophogus and throat. Not to mention the discomfort. I dont see this as an acid or not enough acid thing, but a leak in my LES. Anyway, Ill do what I can and see. Thanks jessica -- In , " Bee Wilder " <beeisbuzzing2003@...> wrote: > > Hi , like Ellen wrote (I think it was her) it is totally > false that good nature-made fats or spices trigger gerd. Guest guest
Thanks for responding greg. Rationally, I agree, but its not pleasant getting worse, particularly as it all started 2 weeks after starting the diet. I actually like the diet and havent had cravings really. So its dang frustrating that doing somehting good for me is having this effect. Im not wanting to go off the diet - I dont want to give it up. I need to read more on the mechanisms for this. Why have I never had a blip on my digestion screen and now I have heartburn all day every day! Can you tell me what your experience was with acid blockers (how they made your health worse)? Just curious, not about to go on them Thanks jessica > > I can second what bee is saying from first hand experience. Guest guest
> > Hi Bee, I dont imagine traditional peoples having much gerd, yet it started when I changed my diet. , no I don't imagine they did, but they didn't have candida and other diseases we have nowadays. > I'm now eating all these foods and the gerd symptoms are getting worse and worse. Im trying to mitigate symptoms but am also worried about my esophogus and throat. Not to mention the discomfort. That's to be expected because you are killing off candida in your stomach, esophagus, etc. and the candida toxins are causing symptoms you wouldn't have had until you changed your diet. > > I dont see this as an acid or not enough acid thing, but a leak in my LES. What is LES? > Anyway, Ill do what I can and see. Thanks It will improve but it takes time. The best, Bee

Why have I never had a blip on my digestion screen and now I have heartburn all day every day! , my stomach was horrible when I was curing my candida; at one point I could only eat 9 foods in the whole world (everything else came back up), and I was losing 3 lbs. per day. When you get heartburn eat some sauerkraut, which is so much more effective than any acid blockers, and less damaging, and/or take 1 tsp baking soda in 6 ounces of warm water.
