1 surgery vs 2 surgeries???

Thanks everyone for your thoughts on the braces. I shared them with

and I think meeting with Sharon and really helped her

out. She really feels a little more assured about going into surgery.

She is still trying to decide if she wants to go ahead and make a two

surgery because right now Dr Rand is saying he can do it in one, but

she does not like the thought of having to stay sedated and on a

breathing tube overnight in ICU because they would have her under for

15 hours. Dr Rand said he can do her surgery in one, but if she wanted

two that was fine with him too.

Has anyone else had it done in 1 surgery? How was it? What should she

expect after? She kinda wants to 1 to not have to think about having

to go back in the OR again a week or more later, but parts of here is

not sure about being under for that long since she use to be a smoker.

I think she is going to see a breathing doctor first and if he clears

her, then she will do the one, but right now she is only scheduled for

1 surgery in October, so she has until we see him on August 28th to

decide for sure.
