hi

A natural by product of digesting animal protein is ammonia. If your liver is not functioning well this toxin can build up in the blood stream causing damage, in particular it can go to the brain and cause disorientation. Although meats provide complete proteins (important to liver repair and functioning) they require the liver to work harder during digestion and may contain high amounts of fat (pork comes to mind). If you have a fatty liver, or fatty stools, the liver is storing the fat and eating fatty meat is just going to continue to over load your liver. How much protein and what kinds are optimal depends on how damaged your liver is.

god bless

When Kroger switched from Lara's brand to Nolan , I looked into it and

found that they only keep the cow " antibiotic and growth hormone free " during

the last month before butchering, not for the life of the cow like true organic

ranchers would.

I heard on the news the other night that they are spraying our meats with a

chemical to keep them from turning brown. It keeps the bright red color

even if the meat is going bad.

Don't remember what they said they were spraying it with. Anyone hear

about this?
