A shifting sacrum?

Hi, Everyone!

Boy, I've missed a lot! I've been skimming posts from the last 6

weeks. Some of you may remember that I've been interviewing all

over. Still have one near Detroit in 2 weeks.

Anyway . . . I have a question. My massage therapist and I have a

new theory that my sacrum has shifted over the right, making my left

glutes constantly stretched and my right glutes constantly relaxed.

This might explain a few things. (1) The way I sleep on my

side/stomach at the same time, with my right knee flexed and brought

up close to my chin – stretches the right side and relaxes the left

side. (2) I'm more able to hold my right leg straight and move my

left leg around (think doing leg lifts in the water), than the other

way around. This could be because the left is constantly stretched

and therefore tired and not able to hold/work as easily. (3) Maybe

also why my coccyx hurts after slight pressure (as from sitting).

All of which could be traceable back to a stupid pain management

D.O. (not all are this way, but he was) who thought it'd be good to

crack my back. He didn't say that's what he was doing, or else I'd

have stopped him. So he tried it, I screamed, and then he proceeded

to ask me why I hadn't reminded him that I'm fused. (Why, I don't

know – it's the reason I come see you once a month!!!!!!!!!) After

that, my coccyx began hurting when I sit. Maybe he moved something,

maybe it was just time for another step in the flatback progression.

So, my question is, have any of you heard of anything like a sacrum

shifting?

Thanks!

Deb M.
