Guest guest
Hey Cam, I think the 40/27 response/positives is pretty good statistically, but hope more surveys are completed before the 15th. I keep trying to picture what it would be like to be around so many other people (heck, even ONE other person) that may walk/stand/feel like I do! Is October/November still the time frame for the gathering? Anyway, happy things are progressing; thanks for keeping us posted. -Marty --- " cammaltby " wrote: Update...about 40 folks have responded, about 27 are in the " probably " or " definitly " will attend category. Guest guest
I'm just waiting to see where and when because coming from outside, very little would make any difference to me (with the sole exception that St Louis is about £100 more expensive to fly to than the other destinations) - it'll just depend on whether I feel well enough to travel that far and have the money. Having said all that, I've added a probably to come, and a maybe to other half joining ) titch-- " The older I grow the more I distrust the familiar doctrine that age brings wisdom. " - H. L. Guest guest
Titch - Did you used to post on Scoliosislife.net? (Sandman and Smiler were owner/moderator's) Just curious. I was Quasimama over there, but faded away when so overwhelmed with life situations 3 years ago. Anyway, would love to meet you and hope your probably would become definately. Guest guest
I did ) I don't post there any more and haven't done for about 2 years now. I think we only overlapped a little, but I do remember you now I think about it. Fingers crossed I'll make it, I would love to meet all you lot - I'm working a second part time job at the moment, which has the side effect that while I have the money to do a little more, I haven't the energy a lot of the time. Ah well! At least the house is benefitting from it ;o) titch On 4/9/06, Marty T4 to S1 <mstar2@...> wrote: Titch - Did you used to post on Scoliosislife.net? Guest guest
Hi Group, So far the response to the survey has been somewhat underwhelming. There have been a total of 9 respondents....3 of which did not include their name, invalidating their entry...even though they indicate they wished to attend. Previously we had close to 35 saying they wished to attend. Those indicating they would like to attend in the current survey are: Marty, P, Bonnie, K, and myself. If you answered the survey but failed to include your name you do need to do it again. The deadline for response is May 26th.....Bonnie, and have put a lot of work into this, but unless there is a clear indication that we should move forward, we will not hold this gathering. Again...here is the survey address: www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=226372125782 I hope you will all take the time to examine your interest in doing this once again! Take Care, Cam P.S. Here is the info for partaking in the survey and the $$ payable if we go forward: If you participate in the survey and choose a date, that means you are committed to attend the dinner and breakfast. IF YOU CANNOT COMMIT TO ATTEND, PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS SURVEY. If you complete the survey committing to attend, then you must send a $50 deposit, within two weeks after the survey completion date. We will let you know shortly where to send that money, to or through PayPal. is researching PayPal. The final date to respond to the survey is Friday, May 26th. The final date for to receive the $50 deposit is Friday, June 16th. If the deposit is not received by that date, you will not be included in the reservation for dinner and/or breakfast. If less than 15 people send their $50 deposit by June 16th, then we are going to give up trying to have a gathering this year. If you send a deposit, but we wind up with less than 15 people, your deposit will be refunded.
Guest guest
Hi Cam, I unfortunately will not be able to attend the gathering. I think it still would be way to soon for me to travel though I would love to meet all the gals. > > Hi Group, > > So far the response to the survey has been somewhat underwhelming. > There have been a total of 9 respondents....3 of which did not > include their name, invalidating their entry...even though they > indicate they wished to attend. Guest guest
Cam, I'm just curious. Where will that gathering be held? Carole
Guest guest
Carole, You are probably not all the way cought up on the reading. For this fall anyway, the National Gathering is off...we could not get the necessary 15 people to commit financially so we are delaying until the late winter early spring timeframe. Hopefully we will have another local " meet-up " in the Boston area long before then! Take Care, Cam
