Guest guest
I have been anemic since the age of 13. I am now 46. Back in the 70's the General Practioner I went to used to give me B12 shots for my anemia. It worked great. I only went for a shot every 3 months and then took an over the counter supplement the rest of the time. Every time I got the shot it would boost my energy, my appetite would come back and I didn't feel sluggish all the time. My parents noticed a big difference in me. Well I've moved to another state and I can't find any doctor who will give me a B12 shot. The doctor I'm seeing now has me on 325mg of iron a day. I can't understand why these doctors won't give me the B12 shot anymore?? What is wrong with it?? I have been to 3 doctors already and they all refuse to give me this shot even though I tell them it helps me. Also I would like to know more about Armour. I read a lot about people taking this. Are there any side effects?? Has it not worked for some people?? What are the risks involved?? I am hypothyroid and taking 50 MCG of Levothyroxine. I'm just trying to sort everything out and find the right answers for me. Val
