Same here,

I have gotten very few posts from the Feisty site this last month. They

were sporadic or didn't come in ay all. I don't know what happened

either. But it seems to be working now again.

Kathleen,

I looked in your account, you are set up to receive digests and

everything on this end looks normal. If you would like, you can go

into your membership and change your way of reading the group to

emails and see if that jogs something. I don't know what else to

suggest, but since it seems you are having problems with other groups

it sounds like it is something with your email server/settings....but

I know little to nothing about computers!

Kathleen, I checked the site and you are still on the members roster. Try

logging onto the site, then look near the top of the page, and you will see

a small " Edit Membership " link. This will allow you to check and adjust

your email preferences, in addition to other options.

Cam, have you tried checking the list of bouncing members? You can

find it under " members " then look for the tab that says " bouncing "

Sometimes, messages bounce if somebody's mailbox is full or some

other strange reason. If she is on the bouncing list, click " view

history " under the status, then there is a button to click to send a

reactivation request.

Once a member is " hard bouncing " , you have to send them a

reactivation request before they will get mail again.

Of course, I don't know if this is the problem, but it is a

possibility that you can check (only moderators can do it)

I have no idea if you've experienced this, but occasionally email

from will bouce. After a number of tries, quits

trying. If you look around your (I get in the general area by

going to my. and clicking on " my account " ), you ought to be

able to find a page that allows you to reactivate your account to

start getting digests again. If this is not an issue for you,

please disregard.

if a mail account is not checked for a certain period of time,

it goes into an inactive status. the person who owns the account

can reactivate it, but that will not in and of itself solve the

problem of not getting group emails.

the moderator would also need to send a reactivation request before

the member would start getting emails again

(I know because I set up an email address for a friend of mine, and

used it to subscribe to his fan club group. He didn't check

it for awhile and it started bouncing. I reactivated the email

account, but he still didn't receive any messages until I used the

moderator tools at the group website to send a reactivation request

from the group.)

Since Kathleen is able to send emails, her email account is probably

active. A moderator would need to check to see if her group

messages have been bouncing. Since she was out of town, her mailbox

may have filled up and caused messages to bounce without

deactivating her email account. In that case, the moderator would

need to send a reactivation request from the members menu by

clicking " view history " under her email address in the list of

bouncing members.

Thanks for the nav aids. I just sent reactivations requests for

three members. Kathleen wasn't one of them.

I may have a clue, Kathleen

when I looked at your profile, it looked like a email address

was listed, but your post was from a different email address

go to the group website and check your settings. perhaps your email

is going to the other address? You can change your email address at

the group website -- look for the " edit membership " link near the top

of the page.

Hi Kathleen,

I researched a bit at the Group help screens (which historically

are not all that helpful) and I'm suspecting that your

Account is linked to your email account, rather than the desired

email account you just listed in this post. Try going to the Feisty

website, sign in with your ID and password, click on " Edit

Membership " (toward the top of the screen in the middle), and then

about 1/2 way down the screen in the " Email Address " section, be sure

the address you wish your digests to come to is showing in the box.

If it's not, click on the arrow just to the right and see if it

appears. If yes, click on that correct email address. If it's not

there at all, click on " Add New Email Address " and type it in. Look

over the rest of the settings on that screen while you are there in

case there are any other changes you wish to make. Be sure before you

leave that screen to click on " Save Changes " at the bottom.

If all that doesn't work, hopefully will be able to give you

a better suggestion.

I just went to our membership area and noted that you were on " No

Mail " for some reason. I took the liberty of switching you to " Daily

Digest. " Please let us know whether this helps. Of course you can

switch yourself to whatever mail option you may prefer if you do not

want your mail in digest form -- and you can always send or receive

posts via the website.
