Guest guest
Hello everyone - I was wondering if anyone is familiar with any of the alternative detection protocols currently available for early detection of breast cancer? Due to family history, my doctor has been trying to talk me into having yearly mammograms, but I am not convinced that is the right course to take. I am trying to gear up with information for my appointment next week so that I can have an informed discussion with her when the subject comes up. So far I have looked at Thermography (http://www.iact-org.org/patients/breastthermography/what-is-breast-therm.html or http://www.breastthermography.com/) and AMAS (http://www.amascancertest.com/). Does anyone have any experience with these or other modalities of detection? It seems that all the detection modalities (except maybe AMAS which is a blood test) say to use in conjuction with mammography, but I am trying to avoid more radiation (whether low-level or not!) Thanks for your input! - Ann
