I have some stainless steel pots that say they are 18/10 and a magnet definitely sticks to them. Anyone know why this might be? ==>If the article states that, it is a typo. I will correct it. So if a magnet sticks is the pot okay, or is it the 18/0 that you are supposed to look for? +++If the magnet sticks to the pot it is okay. Bee ----- I'm a bit confused about this. I have, what I believe to be, top quality 18/10 stainless steel cookware but a magnet will not stick to the pots. Have I been duped? Am I not reading this correctly? The cookware set me back a huge amount of money many years ago but I have never given it the magnet test. Please help! A magnet sticks to my heavier better pots, but I can't find the number on them, i.e. 18/10. I don't think you are succumbing to brain fog. What brand of cookware do you have?
