Hi ,

NO, flax seed and oil are NOT ok. Bee says to stay away from them

because they quickly go rancid.

Lard is not Crisco. It is Lard--rendered pork fat. If your grocery

store carries it, it is generally found in the baking aisle where the

other oils and shortenings are. Sometimes it is found near the

" mexican " foods as well. You could also ask for it at the meat counter.

This isn't true at all. Let me give you a little

information that might help you kind of understand why

this logic doesn't make sense.

When you need to lubricate an engine, what do you use?

Oil of course. Imagine your arteries are like an

engine.. the oil is a lubricant to those arteries.

Those artereries need protein to maintain their

structure (because your heart is as muscle and muscle

is built from protein) and oil to keep them

lubricated.

Now what happens if you put sugar in car gas tank, or

add sugar to the oil you put in your car? You get a

gummed up engine.

This is basically what happens in the body, because on

some fundamental levels, your body works like a car.

First of all, all carbs are converted to glucose in

the body.. basically sugar.

It doesn't matter if you get the carbs from eating a

tablespoon of sugar straight or from a piece of bread

or even pasta or potatoes. Eventually it turns into

glucose (sugar) in the body.

Because veggies have fiber to slow down the absorption

of sugar (to better allow the body to deal with it)

and nutrients for the body, veggie carbs are not that

bad. Also most veggies have very little carbs.

However, what happens if you leave ice cream in the

sun? It gets very sticky! Your body is warm like the

sunlight that would melt the ice cream.

That sugar " sticks " to your arteries, and it gums up

the fat and causes blockages. So oil of any kind is

not the problem.. it always has been sugar.

Hope that makes sense.

Real lard is NOTHING like yukky Crisco!!!! Be sure to get your lard

from a rancher who raises the pigs free-range and natural!

Bee says flax seed is not so great. She can explain better.

==>See the Candida Diet Folder for the Ratios of protein to fat to

carbs and calculate your ratios according to your height as it states,

translating inches to centimeters (inches times 2.54) and subtract 100

to get your protein grams - the other calculations are based on the

protein grams (fat is 2.5 to 3.5 times protein and carbs are .8 times

protein grams).
