Guest guest
Hi ! I am just running out the door and so I can't really write but I was in the same boat as you -- terrible liver problems. I didn't take anti-fungals. because I had elevated liver enzymes (they kept thinking I had hepatitis) and now, a year later, my liver panels just came back perfect. I'll talk to you about it when I get back. ~Robin
Guest guest
Dear , If you are not jaundiced, yellow in the bottom of your eyes, it is more than likely your liver is doing okay. Silymarin herb is very good for strengthening the liver. Sometimes it is better to take one herb and not a combination. To decongest your liver the best way do coffee enemas (recipe and method in the files to the left). You can also help your liver by helping your body detoxify. There are a few simple methods I listed in another post this past week, i.e. dry skin brushing, epsom salts baths, etc. - maybe you can find it above - also drink 1/2 the juice of one lemon in 8 ozs. of warm clean water every morning as soon as you wake up. Are you drinking Pau D'Arco Tea - 4 cups a day. Most people tolerate it better since it is a milder form of antifungal. Please keep us posted and hang in there girl! It is a slow step by step process. Have a happy Christmas my friend, Bee
Guest guest
Hi , If I were you, I'd try not to worry about the things you mentioned. I'd try my best to rest and I mean get a REALLY lot of sleep and rest throughout the day. If you're not sleeping well at night, try taking some tryptophan along with a half a banana just before bed as well as a good magnesium supplement. The Chinese say that the liver is the seat of anger and worry and I know it may sound corny but REALLY try to relax and let any sources of anger or worry go away. It helps a lot more than you think. I'd try to eat a lot of dark leafy greens, especially collard greens as they are natural detoxifiers. They also contain the most important vitamins and minerals in the right forms for fixing a liver. (Julius Caesar ate a hearty serving of collards as a preventive to indigestion after attending royal banquets -- an historic testimony to their detoxifying abilities!) I'd take lots of vitamin C throughout the day and night. I'd take an extra B vitamin in the morning with a meal and lemon juice or hydrochloric acid because B, C, and Magnesium all need stomach acid to be absorbed. If you eat 24 hour fermented yogurt you probably don't need calcium but take a lot of magnesium. If your liver is in bad shape you may also have low stomach acid. I did. I still take about 8 capsules (675 mg. each) of HCl with meals. (I personally like Thorne brand -- it's called BPP and it contains enzymes and pepsin too.) Always take at least one digestive enzyme with meals too. (With low stomach acid, your stomach has to churn much harder to make your solid food into soup and I read that 80% of a body's metabolic energy goes to digestion (!) You want that energy for healing so anything you can do to give your digestive organs a rest will help.) As for anti-Candida type food and supplements that work for me, I swear by the combination of Protease enzymes, Vitamin C and D-lenolate all on an empty stomach. I put them out at night before bed and whenever I get up I take them and go back to sleep. They do not interfere with my sleep. I swear by probiotics. I take them and eat fermented food ALL THE TIME. I have something like sauerkraut with every meal and drink VSL3 (probiotics) about 15 minutes before I eat. You can't overdo good bacteria in my book. I try to balance my oils each day: 30% Omega3 fish oils, 30% Omega6 (almond flour breads and MANY other things) and 30% saturated fat like coconut oil. I try to take the oils as fresh as possible and always with food. Plain oil is really a burden on my liver! I can't eat as much fat/oil as others on this site. I honestly think that moderation is key here. I mainly eat steamed green vegetables with a protein. (Currently I have a VERY light breakfast: the juice of a lemon upon rising and then a baked or fresh apple w/ a little bit of almond bread or yogurt. I eat my biggest meal of the day a few hours later at 11AM or so. My other big meal is at 4PM or so. Even when I was the worst with Candida, except for the first 2 weeks, I've always allowed myself a half an apple a day, always in the morning. I've still been able to get the Candida under control with no anti-fungals. It's been about 8 months. When I was particularly toxic and not having bowel movements I went and got colon hydrotherapy. I performed enemas in between. I thought I was becoming dependent on them but in the last month they naturally tapered off because my system started working right. (It took a completely stress-less vacation to do it!) If you can afford it and know a good one, acupuncture for the liver is VERY helpful too. I can't overstate the role of rest and stress relief when it comes to healing. Try not to worry just follow Bee's basic diet, pick a strategy and stay with it. Be patient. I am pleased to say that after a year of hearing from my MD that I might have hepatitis because my liver enzymes were so elevated, (and feeling really crummy!,) I found out last week that my liver and thyroid are now in the " optimal " range. My weight is right where it should be. My hair is growing back in. My skin glows and, well, I feel great! I hope some of this works for you. I realize we're all different and you may have other issues that cause the symptoms you are experiencing. Good luck! ~Robin

I do sometimes have yellow eyes (I look like an alien!!) and my liver enzymes raise up now and again so I guess you are right my liver could be a bit stressed. One more question please Bee - if you would be so kind - the lemon juice you recommend - does that detox the liver or kill candida??? Thanks again Bee
Guest guest
And as one of my " snack " foods I occasionally drink one of two Thorne products that you mix with water: MediPro and MediClear. Maybe you're not doing these but in case you are I should have mentioned that after an enema I do a coffee enema once every couple weeks. I also ALWAYS follow an enema with a probiotic " implant " . You know, try to take in, and keep in!, a small mixture of water with acidophilus or other probiotics in it. Seems to help. ~R
Guest guest
Dear , The lemon juice helps the body detoxify, including the liver, and also aids digestion. It does not kill candida. In addition to what I've suggested above, ensure you have eliminated all sources of " bad " fats and eat plenty of good animal meats and " good " fats. Fats such as coconut oil are very important for liver health. The liver makes bile and cholesterol from good fats. Cholesterol is very important for repairing and rebuilding. Good fats also stimulate the gall bladder to dump bile therefore preventing it from backing up creating jaundice. Take coconut oil regularly throughout the day with meals. I make an egg drink with two eggs, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1/16th tsp. stevia, 2 tbls. coconut oil and 2 cups of hot water in a blender - have it 3 times a day to get your coconut oil and the wonderful nutrients in eggs. Also strictly avoid any drugs and all grains, which can both be very hard on the liver. Ensure you are balancing your Omega-3 and Omega-6 essential fatty acids - Cod Liver Oil is the best source of Omega-3 since our diets are often overloaded with Omega-6. I compared 3 brands of coconut oil this week (Arctic Cod Liver Oil by Nordic Naturals; Carlson CLO and Garden of Life, Olde World Icelandic CLO and found they are not all created equal. The best bang for your buck IMO is Garden of Life. Also do take chlorophyll to help detoxification and clears out heavy metals, especially mercury - Chlorella tablets are good, but you could also take liquid chlorophyll. I use Chlorofresh from the health food store. Take 1 tablespoon 3 times a day in 4 ozs. of water. What I have suggested for you is quite a bit and it can get kinda complicated. If you wish please write to me directly and I will help you with a step by step program with the things which will most help you. I'm going to be away for a couple of days but will be back in touch the day after Christmas. Luv, Bee
Guest guest
Dear Carol, > Hi Bee. Just curious. Do you drink this 2 cups tea 3 > times a day, or divide the 2 cups into 3? 2 cups is a > lot. I'm not sure which tea you mean, but you can have 4 cups of any tea per day. >Coconut oil: I purchased some from Canida once in > small 12 ounce jars. A few months ago I got a 1 gallon > bucket of coconut oil from my food co op. It claims to > be gotten by the ine femrentation method or > something like that. Organic. Says it's from > Wilderness Natural Family. Hoping it's as good as say > Tropical Traditions. I am not familiar with that type of coconut oil. Fermented? That's interesting. The word " organic " is not regulated for use like " Certified Organic, " but unless it is bleached, deoderized or extracted with chemicals it should be okay. Maybe someone has information on this. But I also found out that use of the words " virgin " or " extra virgin " are not regulated either. These words are used to market oils like Tropical Traditions. I hope you enjoy the drinks. Hugs back, Bee
Guest guest
Hi Carol, The coconut oil you mention from Wilderness Family is a good one. I've tried it, liked it and can attest to its healthful quality. I think it might even be the best coconut oil out there for the price. (I happen to like a little bit more coconut flavor and so now prefer the Tropical Traditions brand but the difference is negligible.) Here's the website if anyone else is interested in the product Carol mentioned. . http://www.wildernessfamilynaturals.com/mall/virgin_coconut_oil.asp <BLOCKED::http://www.wildernessfamilynaturals.com/mall/virgin_coconut_oil.as p> ~Robin

Your liver will improve as you continue on this candida program. Coffee enemas help the liver a lot. Bee
