Can anyone refer me to a good dr in the St.Louis, MO area who is good

at fixing a previous scoliosis surgery. My herrington rods have

knows of anyone besides Dr. Lenke please let me know. Thanks!!

HI

Not sure about a revision specialist but I can tell you that Dr george

Bassett did my scoliosis surgey 2 years ago in st louis and if he does not do

Thanks, Bob.

Yes, I did use it in series to measure the current.

If I wanted to check the voltage while using it, would I use the meter in

series also, or across the electrodes (in parallel)?

....for the voltage, you want parallel. Just like the pressure in a

hose is the same if you split into two hoses, the voltage will be the

same if you parallel the meter onto the circuit.

Subject: New with questions

I am sure you get these kinds of questions all the time so I hope that

you do not mind answering them one more time :)

Is cerification required in the state of Illinois?

What texts do you recommend picking up for review? Any comments about

PharmacyTrainer?

How much time do you recommend for study prior to taking the

certification exam? I have been out of school for some time but have

been successful with self-study programs.

Am I asking the right/wrong questions? Anything that anybody has to

offer, a push in the right direction would be greatly appreciated :)

Thank you all very much,

D.

Here's the link to the tech requirements/application for the state of Illinois.

http://www.idfpr.com/dpr/apply/Phrmtech.asp

Also visit the PTCB website for exam info and other good stuff.

http://ptcb.org/

Please check the files for Jeanetta's review of some of the study guides. I have

no experience with PharmacyTrainer...perhaps someone else can comment.

How long it takes to study for the PTCB all depends on your knowledge base and

comfort level with calculations. Please review our archived discussions to get a

feel for what others have done.

Good luck,

Dora

Hello Bee, I had to write to tell you thank you from my heart.

+

The problems started about 20 years ago. I went to doctors to find the problem.

One had on his reports, " She is too spiritual. " Because I was on highs and

lows all the time, he thought less spirituality would be best for me.

My hair was falling out. I couldn't walk more than 50 feet without getting

exhausted.

I wanted to take three naps a day.

My skin was getting saggy. My eczema was erupting. My jaws would swell. I

almost had a root canal but discovered, in time, I was gluten intolerant.

My eyes would water, get blurry and have sharp pains in them.

I would stumble when walking as if I were drunk.

I was up and down, in emotions. I felt like I was ready to be committed in an

institution.

My anger was simmering, many times.

I have to tell you that all these symptoms have almost disappeared. I still

have a heel spur. Not sure what to do about that. I am no longer depressed,

exhausted, and on a roller coaster of highs and lows.

I am working 12-14 hour days brushing around our wildlife pond. Just enough

for a view but keeping the wildness of it. I am cooking a lot more due to the

need. I am almost dancing about my little trailer as I work. I have always loved

homemaking so am enjoying it much, much more.

I am a pioneer type person and am quite excited about cooking on my little

woodstove when we get our house ready. I use a wringer washer and enjoy that.

Hanging the clothes is a joy. And...maybe I shouldn't report this...it could get

me institutionalized, but...I even enjoy mending socks, by hand yet.<grins>

The best thing about all of this is that I see the positive side of life and

thank God that He is using your talents to bless others. Too spiritual...YES!

and getting more so.

Hi Violet,

I had such a giggle reading the above! :- )

I for one really enjoy ironing clothes, also mending them. Whenever I

tell someone - not too often (lol) - I often get this weired look :- )

I find ironing reelaxing. Mind you, I have only my own clothes to

iron, not a whole family's... :- )

I really enjoyed reading your posting.
