Guest guest
Dear Friends Here is my breakfast: 250g organic acidophilus yoghurt to which I add: the day's allowance of fruit (strawberries, raspberries diced melon) sprinkle of chopped up walnuts, filberts, almonds, brazils sprinkle of ground-up seeds - pumpkin, sunflower, sesame tablespoon of organis linseeds sprinkling of desiccated coconut flakes tablespoon of organic rolled oats Very delicious, and time consuming chewing all those coconut flakes, seeds and nuts. Satisfying, good for the teeth, and has calcium, protein, vitamins, fibre. I am chewing away while typing. The perfect luch to eat at one's desk at work? Even better, I put the whole lot into the yoghurt pot which I will throw away, so the only thing I have to wash up is the spoon! Anyone else got food tips? Guest guest
This looked pretty good. But I didn't know you did anything with chia seeds other than grow a chia pet. Remember those?I had an apple smoothieApple, Pom juice, cranberry juice, shot of water and a couple of ice cubes to make it cold. I just made a peach drink for my husband to tide him over until a pizza dough ball thaws and the cleaning girls get out of my kitchen. Oh, the girls loved the peach drink. I added some yogurt to the peach drink.TerrySent from my iPadOn Oct 12, 2010, at 12:59 PM, lil_joy <lil_joy69@...> wrote: I have been off of my green smoothies for awhile. Guest guest
Chia is wonderful-PACKED with nutrition. I use it as an egg substitute and as a homemade hair gel! Be careful to hydrate the seeds well enough for a gel to form around them, or they can swell in your tummy causing discomfort. I use the Vitamix to make my hair gel, lol I have been off of my green smoothies for awhile. I got to the point where they just didn't sound good. I wanted to get back to it. Guest guest
Oh I was thinking that I wished you had a blog, so I could learn more of your tips and tricks for food allergies. I am doing NAET treatments right now, and am going to go check out the link you sent for food allergies! Definitely excited to see what you come up with for a book. And Lee Ann - you too!!On Tue, Oct 12, 2010 at 5:39 PM, Berry <berrywell@...> wrote: LOL. thanks Fran-its in the works actually Trust me when I say my tips and tricks are born out of necessity! Guest guest
Oh, I will have to charge money for that! Very technical method for hair gel!!! Put a couple of tsp chia seed in vitamix, add enough water to cover by about 1/2 an inch and whiz it up until the seeds are crushed! Pour in a dispenser (I use a ketchup bottle) Only a tiny pea sized drop of this all natural gel will hold your style in place until the next shampoo!!! If you want it scented, add a drop of essential oil before whizzing. SEND YOUR CHECKS TO........... lol (you can also make hair gel with tapioca starch-send extra money for THAT tip please) I have been off of my green smoothies for awhile. I got to the point where they just didn't sound good. I wanted to get back to it. Since I find myself with way more veggies than fruit and I wanted something warm I went with soup.
