Guest guest
Do you see an LLMD? If so, show him/her. Lyme mimics many diseases and Lupus is one, people with lupus can get rashes in the sun. So, I would think it could be from the Lyme. I read a dr's. page the other day and he stated Lyme can mimic all diseases and symptoms. jan > > I hear a lot about rashes in early Lyme, but what about late stage? Guest guest
Could be a side effect of antiobiotics--some of them make your skin very sensitive to sunlight. Patti
Guest guest
Where is the rash? Across your face? Like a Butterfly Rash across cheeks and nose? I always would get a facial rash...........people thought for sure I had Lupus....it was the lyme. The rash would get worse when in the sun or when sweating........horrible, I looked so ill. If you are on abx.......certain ones can cause a burn when out in the sun. Connieknwnj _________________________________________________________________ Type your favorite song. Guest guest
I'm not on antibiotics---The rash started years ago primarily on joints. Then it developed on my thighs---big oval rashes. Now it's just about anywhere that's exposed to the sun. I haven't gotten it on my face, but I usually don't expose it to the sun (because skin on my face is very sensitive, even though it's dark). I noticed it at first in the summer, then I realized it had to do with sun exposure. Anyone else have this? tte __________________________________________________
Guest guest
I was diagnosed with late stage lyme in Oct 99. I had rashes all over that looked kinda like I would think Poison oak would. However, I had a hugh blood red/black bruise that covered my back, I assume where the bite had been. The Dr. Stupid Dr, asked me if I had been beaten. It did look like someone had beat me with a baseball bat. Like others have said, if on antibiotics and exposed to sun it will cause a rash. If the rash only happens after sun exposure then it would seem it has to be something to do with the sun. Lyme is a freaky illness. I would never beleived one diease could've caused so many varied and unusual sympthoms.
