Hives...andrographis?

After a year on antibiotics I started taking the 3 herbs in the core protocol

along with Smilax about a month ago and had worked up to the 4-3x daily dosage

which I've taken for two weeks. I also take lots of supplements and bicillin

injections 2x week.

The protocol has been going really well. I've been herxing but started to come

out of that a couple days ago. Unfortunately, I just developed itchy hives last

night which have responded only slightly to Benedryl. I stopped all the herbs

and supplements but I read in Buhner's update that andrographis caused hives in

a small number of people and that they clear up after a month.

I'd like to continue all the other herbs and supps but if these hives last a

month how will I know it's not caused by something else I'm still taking? Also

does anyone know if the andrographis reactions are known to be itchy? And other

than taking Benedryl is there anything that can lessen the severity of the

hives?

Thanks!

try to figure out which entity is causing the hives. you may have to remove that

from your regimen.

You may also want to try Quercetin--I use source naturals brand. Ive found that

I am severely allergic to many things and can hive-out at any time--taking

quercetin when that happens makes them go away--I take it once I get sx and for

several days after. I find it also helps with seasonal allergies. It has been

clinically proven to block histamine cascades.

Its costly but well worth it since I cant take Benadryl--it makes dysautonomias

worse since it runs on the cholinergic pathway.
