Guest guest
Lou, what abx are you on, or have been on? I have had horrible arrythmias, a 'silent heart attack' ( actually, there was nothing silent about it, I went to ER but Dr never listened to my heart, only gave me Pepto for my 'indigestion' because healthy young women, dont have heart problems) After years of beta-blockers and tests ( before Lyme dx) I have now seen a good 85% drop in arrythmias since starting Zithromax and Ceftin. Take care, Pepi

Take > care, Pepi Am currently in my third month of rocephin. Not getting worse but not making any forward progress and no change in heart symptoms. No herxes. Have also tried doxy, biaxin, ZAP, ceftin, and IV zithromax, IV claforan. Stopped the last two because of questionable reaction in fourth week. Couldn't tell if the claforan caused serum sickness, allergic reaction, or herx. Afraid to go on because of inadequate local medical supervision. Stopped the IV zithro because of " heart herx " in the fourth week. Ended up at the ER. Disappointed to stop because it worked faster than the rocephin in half the time. Haven't tried any beta blockers. Did try calcium channel blocker for awhile. Inclined to think that only successful lyme treatment will help my heart. Had all the heart testing.
