Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Can I ask a totally frivolous question. How many people felt their weight went up when they got sick and then when they got better did their weight go down by itself? I was wondering because I gained alot of weight from the stress of the illness and I am starting to feel better and I guess I am not leaking as many nutrients and I don't seem to need to eat as much. Guest guest
hi, I gained a lot of weight the first two years of my illness and the only time I shedded any was when I got that real bad food poisoning a little over one year ago. I was so sick for three months and practically didnt eat much at all.. Unfortunately they are almost all back cuz I couldnt do aerobic exercise... but I think some of the recent weight gain are from increase bulk of muscle, not fat because people keep asking me if I lost some weight.. I sure hope if this cipro stuff helps, I may lose more weight by being more physically active.. I don't eat much and it seems that my metabolism have slowed tremendously due to lyme disease.. did any of you feel your metabolism have been slowed down by lyme disease also? elizabeth MD

And my appetitie was at an al time high. Still wake up to eat in the middle of the night. I would have to eat every 2 hours around the clock. Now that Ive been on abx my weight has come back to my normal. I have weighed the same since High School and so losing all that really made me feel worse. Now that im back to my regular weight I think I feel a little better at least mentally. Think maybe it has something to do with how the Lyme attacks certain parts of our bodies. Who knows. I am hoping now that Im back to my normal weight I will stay there. No more up anfd down. L(MI) > ---------------------------

Guest guest
I lost almost 25 lbs before getting diagnosed with lyme. Doctors kept telling me I was anorexic (wrong). With ABX my weight has returned to low normal. Dabs conn
