Guest guest
I went to the doctor day. I decided to go to the University of Chicago Med Center to a hepatologst. I took my medical records along and after she looked over the results of my liver biopsy she told me the results were not what one sees in a person with chronic hepatitis C some of the results do go along with hep C but alot of the findings appear to be caused by an autoimmune problem where the body attacks the liver. This was just really awful news to hear I asked her why the doctor who did the biopsy two years ago did not know this and she said it is because he was a gastro doctor and she only deals with liver problems so I guess her knowledge is somewhat better as far as the liver goes. She also wants to enroll me in a clinical trial since I got so sick off of the regular combination therapy she said that I can try the once a week shot and the pills are not the ribivarin so I will have to think on that for awhile I just don't know what auto immune disease I could have that would make my body attack my liver. I am sure upset over this news I sure hope they can give me some hope I really don't have any hope at the moment I know with hepatitis you can't take alot of meds and that makes it hard to treat an auto immune problem. A couple years ago one doctor thought I had MS but the MRI I had did not show any problems so I am sure it is not that. I also wondered about Lupus. The doctor did order alot of blood tests and they took 11 tubes of blood so mabe they will find something there. I hope everyone has a good evening. Guest guest
Hi Alaire, That sounds like a real good new start to me. I find it a little odd, that he would sit down and pray with you, but as long as you are comfortable with it.... I just hope you will get all proper medical treatment from now on. I was wondering what you said about the rheumatoid arthritis, because I have develped that in one of my knees since October last year. Do you think there is a mite connection as well ? Keep in touch and all the best ! Aggi Von: "Goldstein@..." <Goldstein@...>An: bird mites Gesendet: 7:27 Dienstag, 5.Juni 2012Betreff: Re: my doctor visit Alaire, I believe God is good all the time. I am so glad you got to a doctor who is compassionate and believes you. I can't believe he prayed with you. That is really amazing and especially impressive because he is a doctor. Many doctors believe in God, but many are not willing to go out on a limb and declare their beliefs. I wonder what blood testing the doctor is doing? Have you been to the labs already? You might not have RA--Lyme and coinfections can mimick RA. I guess you won't know that for sure until you actually start treatments. Anyway, so good you are getting going now... please keep us in the loop. I am sending a little prayer your way too. It was a shock to have someone listen and ask me questions. Of coarse I have not had a bite or hives for 5 days, but he totally believed me. He suspects the mites are gone and it is some type of fungal and or internal infection. Just what everyone here has said. my body is reacting with hives and rashes. Blood work won't be ready for 5 weeks. He definitely thinks bartonella, possibly from a cat scratch years ago. Now I have to detox. I am willing to do what it takes. It is going to be rough I am a caffeine junkie. No sugar no chocolate yikes!ill start slowly. I go back in 8 weeks and we will go from there. He just wants to eliminate the toxins I can and start clean. Hopefully blood work isn't too bad. I have symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis too it just has gotten worse since the bugs. He held my hand and prayed for me before I left. That alone uplifted me spiritually.he does not deny that mites and fleas can carry lyme and other tick born diseases. I told him about all of you and how much support you give. Ill be in touch hope all is well. God is Good------------------------------------
