Guest guest
I thought I'd post my recent results and ask a question. I'm 41. Diagnosed at 26 with secondary hypo. I never addressed my estradiol until 4/27/2010. My endo at that time was reluctant to get into it. After I insisted, he finally capitulated giving me the Labcorp Estradiol, Serum, MS test. It came back at 59 in a range of 8 to 35. He refused to treat it. He said it was high due to a conversion from T, it was perfectly fine. Realizing I had spun my wheels long enough I started looking for another doctor. While looking I started taking 500mg daily of Calcium D-Glucarate. I did not think it was doing anything. I found a new doctor and obtained my latest estradiol results last week. It was 21 in a range of < or = 29. This was the ultrasensitive test. The first test was the wrong type of test. Does it matter? Can I still use that test to correctly say there was a considerable reduction in my estradiol? 59 seems pretty high but I don't know if the two test can be compared at all.
