Guest guest
Funny...I've got the number for that aquatics program at my desk. Perhaps we will be swimming buddies in the future. [Editor's Note: That would be fun! I'll be starting aquatics again in the fall. We have our own pool (and ocean, LOL) out on Fire Island for the summer. She is at Dutchess BOCES now in POK. So hello neighbor! -Betz [Editor's Note: Well, hello, indeed! I have relatives in Tivoli and Rhinebeck - just down the road from you. When I retire, I'll be going to an Aquatics for Arthritics program in Poughkeepsie. We're in the Onteora school district - so yes, neighbors, indeed! We're all fortunate to be in one of the prettiest places in the world - the Hudson Valley. It's a part time home for us now, but it will be close to full time in just a few months. Guest guest
Hi all, has anyone had any luck in being able to swim or exercise at a hotels pool, I wonder if they would consider this... Jeanette [Editor's Note: Jeanette, up by us, a number of hotels have " friends and neighbors fees " which you can pay to be able to use their pools or spas. Give some of the places near you a call. Several may be willing to accommodate you, especially if you tell them you have arthritis. I would encourage you to get the Arthritis Foundation's Aquatics CD (www.arthritis.org) so that you will know a number of great water exercises to do while you're in the pool. Guest guest
Hi Kathy F: Wow, I didn't know about those programs, I will have to start calling next week. I really need to exercise, and the pool has been the only thing I have found that I can do. The one here in town is so cold. It does my muscles no good. Thanks again !!
