Guest guest
Hi , Firstly, let me say that I wish all of your pain and immobility to be gone. This disease is not fair. I hope that you do not believe that I would point a finger at you. I understand that you are new to PA, and it affects those of us who have it to varying and it progresses at different rates. Biologics seem to be good for slowing the progression. I can't drive for more than 30 minutes either (because my spine is mostly fused). There are times when I can't bear to be touched either: generally when other pain is so great that one more bit of input into my nervous system is the last straw. When things get like that (which they rarely do anymore) I meditate. I look for the brief moments in between the pain, focus on those, and try to stretch them out. I have a rather substantial list of issues right now, one of which may require surgery to my spine...but I could not be happier to be alive. I am blessed with being alive - and it is my birthday as well as New Year's Eve! I will celebrate with a good book, a glass of vegetable juice, a kiss from my wife and a nap - maybe a bit of a waltz in the livingroom with my bride later on, but nothing fast - no jitterbugging, no rock-n- roll! Best wishes....

Guest guest
" After reading about your trip with your son, I took my son to San Diego... " Thanks for the good wishes and the compliment. Also, I am glad you went on a trip with your son. If telling about my trip encouraged you (or others) to build closer/healthier relationships your family, friends, community, or nature, then you have fullfilled my intent. Happy New Year...
