Hi Micky,

I'm glad you are still looking in. That's great that you eventually went for

the MTX and that it has worked so well. I'm sorry to hear that your elbows are

gone though. I hope you get them back again. lol I am currently on 20mg of

it. Didn't do too much for me I'm afraid but I have improved since they added

Enbrel. Still not back on the running track though! lol

Keep in touch if you can. We accept ex PA sufferers too. lol

Good luck,

Hi Micky,

Probably long gone by now but just in case you look in every now and then,

its was great to hear from you again and brilliant that you have gone into

clinical remission. Long may it continue.

Good luck,

Hi and others

Thanks for the good wishes

I have now gone back to Day zero - meaning I am as fit and as healthy as the

days before I had ever heard of this nasty PA .

No Psoriasis and No joint pain, My elbows are clear - completely gone! ! !

I tried to find that Poem I wrote on here, but I can't find it in the

archives. I wanted to put that and also my first post on here so that I

could give some of the newbie's hope, but alas I could not find.

Maybe one of you guys could send it to me if you have a copy of your e

mails.

I feel so good I have changed completely - I have stopped smoking! I have

started losing weight and have even started paying over payments on my

mortgage so that I can pay it off earlier

The reason for all of this is that I feel like for now I have a second

chance in life, maybe I haven't, maybe I have, but I'm not hanging around to

question it! if you know what I mean..

In my case MTX + CATS CLAW + ARCOXIA = Clinical Remission

I have not taken any MTX since December 1st and I have been having about

2x120MG tablets a week of Arcoxia, although I probably don't need it, It's a

confidence thing I think. So there you have it people I found my magic

bullet MTX and I probably could have found that at the beginning! My fears

of it were out of proportion to the actual thing itself!

In my first ever post back in 2003 I started with talk about the reasons for

not taking MTX and what I could do to avoid it because of the side effects

etc I look at that post and can't believe how stupid I was being, but at

the time it seemed very reasonable to me .. As it probably does for a lot of

people on here who have the same fears I had back then. who used to be

on this site forever went on about the benefits of MTX, but in the back of

my head I just had this feeling of Fear that always talked me out of trying

it probably more of the unknown than anything else!

Anyway I'm not saying that MTX will be good for everybody as we are all

individuals, but PLEASE don't wait until it's too late to give it a go. I

feel that because I started the MTX early in the course of this disease It

gave it a better chance of getting on top of this PA (only my opinion) I

have to say that It may not do anything for anyone on here and heck maybe I

just got lucky, but do not avoid it for the reasons I did...

You just never know! You may get lucky too....

Micky
