Guest guest
Hi, You can not get good help unless you go to a reproductive endocrinologist. Those doctors that are new to testosterone replacment therapy are not trained in endocrinology. They get their technical information from pharmaceutical reps who want to sell expensive products. They usually are not very interested in finding answers for people. You will be wasting your money on visits and prescriptions unless you get the right doctor. You may have to travel several hundred miles to find a good doctor. ernestnolan > > I'm sorry about the the time between posts I finally got started > on finding another doc, Go to see him 10-04-06. Almost certainly. But be specific in your language when you talk to your doctor. It is estradiol also known as E2 that is high. It is only one of several forms of estrogen. You want an E2 test, not an estrogen test. ________________ I am human; nothing in humanity is alien to me. Terence

I note your Doc refused an " estrogen test " . Aside from asking for E2 present him/her with some of the E2 info from www.allthingsmale.com to educate the doc. ________________ I am human; nothing in humanity is alien to me. Guest guest
Allan - Based on your description, I believe you are correct. Your E2 is probably sky high and your prolactin is high. Personally, I would request an E2 test first and look into why your prolactin is high. You should be evaluated for a tumor. Guest guest
When I saw this, I had to provide an update of my own. I'm now starting my second year on TRT. My life has changed completely 9000% for the better. I am living proof you have to be willing to " go the distance " to get top-notch treatment. I live in Va, and spent most of a year trying to find someone here to treat me. I got the runaround time after time, including at our " famous " fertility clinic as well as our " famous " endocrine center. After almost a year of this I got a tip from a sufferer on this group (I forget his name) who had since moved to California. He said I might try talking to Dr. Hulinsky, who lives in CT, 9 hours away. I bit the bullet and made the drive. He agreed to treat me via phone if I agreed to come in person once a year. He's also treating my diabetes now - my blood sugars are now those of a non-diabetic. My T stays in the upper range where my muscles and bones don't ache anymore, and it's cheap because I do my own injections. He recently started me on Arimidex, which cuts my TRT costs considerably. A year's supply is $10, I don't need to buy $60 worth of Indoplex a month anymore. What I'm trying to say is don't be afraid to drive however far it takes to reach a doctor someone here knows and trusts. I can't say enough good things about Dr H - he gave me my life back. Someone will do the same for you, dont let the drive sweat you. Regards, Louis > > I'm sorry about the the time between posts I finally got started > on finding another doc, Go to see him 10-04-06.
