I was not looking for a big bang but do feel more leveled and my E2 is much

better. For me this is a blessing.

Is it worth doubling the number of shots?

Yes it's better to do them every 3 days and to add HCG in on the 2 days in

between.

I am doing 42 mgs every 3 days and 250 IU's of HCG the 2 days in between.

I started doing this because I read that Dr. Shippen is doing his shots every

3 days to help keep his E2 down.

(I'm back after a brief hiatus; some family and computer problems,

nothing insurmountable)

I tried the two-shots a week procedure last spring trying my hand

at spreading out the highs and lows and I think I had the same

problem you describe. I would inject on Tue and Sat, 40mg each (for

my total of 80mg/week.) By the time Thu rolled around, I was already

dragging; by Fri, it was pretty pathetic. Actually, I wasn't feeling

all that great during the -entire- week. When I finally injected on

Sat I could actually feel some relief after about 1 hr. Thats a

little unusual for me, it usually dosen't hit me that fast like that.

I'm not sure what I was doing wrong, but it sounds like too low a

dose.

The level of T in a two-shot system should be a lot more evenly

released, but I'm wondering if the -overall- level (of 40mg) on any

given day is lower enough to cause dragging compared to the bigger

boost from a single 80mg shot. The peak testosterone level is

reported to be 24-48hrs after injection (in my case, its closer to

48hrs) and then it starts to come down. I'm trying to graph this out

in my mind and I'm wondering that even when its coming down, the

(single-shot) T level at most given days is still higher than the two-

shot system on the same day (except for the very last days of the

week when the single shot just keeps on dropping.)

Anyway, I gave the two-shot system about two weeks before giving

up. The temptation was there to increase the dosage, but I don't want

any problems with high Heme levels. At the moment, my

latest " brilliant " idea is to try a 6-day single injection; meaning

I'm just not going to wait around for that crappy 7th and last day.

Hey Rich - that is an interesting observation. I too plot out values

and extrapolate different options prior to doing them. After reading

you post, I went back to my curves and found you are correct. In

fact, do half the dose in 2 shots per week vs. 1 dose every 7 days,

I calculate that on the average you have ~ 30% levels. Maybe I need

to bump up to 100 mgs (2 shots @ 50 mgs each). I take it you didn't

try the higher levels since you only did it for 2 weeks.

I think there is no doubt mathematically that doing two shots per week

results in more even levels than doing one per week. However, it is

possible that the dose curve of 100 mg once per week *feels* better

than the dose curve of 50 mg twice per week. But if we have dosing

flexibility, wouldn't the best solution be two shots per week,

adjusting the dosage up a bit until we feel good all the time? For

example, maybe 55 mg twice per week instead of 100 mg once per week.

It seems that T acts like a switch - either there's enough and we feel

good, or there isn't. Having levels twice than enough doesn't make us

feel twice as good. So, maybe the key is to make sure that we stay

above the " feel good " level all the time, without going too high. A

big weekly shot keeps us above that level most of the week, but then

we drage on the last day or two. Maybe twice-weekly shots can keep us

above that level all the time, if the dose is high enough.

It's not keeping my E2 down. Very frustrating. The double number of

injections no big deal. I do feel more stable on the every three days

routine I am on. On weekly shots I was very horny the first couple of days,

and could tell I was down low the end of the cycle...on every three days no

peaks and valley's like that.

Dave a lot of guys are starting to do this and finding it's working dam good.

Dr. Shippen is the one that started this. Only he does more T and no HCG. But

I think Dr. is getting him to try it.
