Guest guest
Without giving a lot of detail, I am now on 10 mgs' daily of Androgel. I was diagnosed 3 years ago with hypogonadism. My T level was 190. After numerous blood tests, I was put on 5mgs daily. After three years, my T level was still 190, so I was referred to an Endo. More blood tests, bone scan, and MRI to check out my pituitary. Conclusion was even though my pituitary looked ok, the hormone that orders T production was not vey robust, so for one week now, I am on 10mgs, Androgel per day for a 3 mos trial. After that more blood tests for T levels, PSA, colesterol etc, if all looks well and I am feeling good the Androgel therapy will continue. I am in my late 60's. Can anyone give me a clue as to what I may experience using the higher level of Androgel?
Guest guest
Hey boater - I tried the androgel bit for a while and just did not absorb it well. I am 47. Even on 10 mg daily, my T was unaffected. Some people just don't absorb very well. If you don't start feeling the effects in a couple of weeks, I would call your doc and suggest you try shots. 3 months is too long if it doesn't work in my opinion especially on a daily applied substance. Most of us are doing self-injections on a every 7 day or shorter frequency. Arkansas boater972004 <boater972004@...> wrote: Without giving a lot of detail, I am now on 10 mgs' daily of Androgel. Guest guest
I'm only 40- but changing from 5g to 10g made a huge difference for me...great energy, some fat loss and muscle gain, better attitude, more relaxed, better sleep. My advice would be to check Dr. 's protocol in the files section and get on it after checking levels in another few weeks..not months...to be sure you are absorbing the androgel. If not, you may try testim or go to depo shots...whatever...just review the protocol and make it happen.--- In , " boater972004 " <boater972004@...> wrote: > > Without giving a lot of detail, I am now on 10 mgs' daily of Androgel. > I was diagnosed 3 years ago with hypogonadism. Guest guest
Hi and welcome, I feel your not a good candidate for gels and don't let me upset you. Doing 5 grams and your T staying at 190 tells me your skin is not letting the gel get into your blood stream. This is not new and happens a lot. First if your not putting it on right this can give a lower levels but you went up Zero. It is ok to try a higher dose but it is a dam shame to have you wait 3 more months to test. I feel you should call your Dr. in 3 weeks if you not feeling dam good and ask for a blood test saying you think it is not working. Tell me how you feel do you have morning wood can you get it up do you have any libido. Are you feeling fatigued or Depressed any bran fog sore joints and muscles. Also you need your Estradiol checked most men are age have higher levels then women and if it is to high it will kill you sex life and hold down your T levels and not let you feel better. Go to this site http://www.allthingsmale.com/ and read TRT: A Recipe for Success and his HCG Update I started on this and added HCG to my TRT one yr. ago and now I feel the best I ever felt in the 22 yrs. on T meds.
