well i met with the Endo yesterday and was with him for a little over an hour.

i felt he was very thorough..and he also appreciated that i'm somewhat

knowledgable regarding this deficiancy.

after i gave him my story from when i first noticed my weak erections

(jan'05)all the way thru today he had some basic questions. i told him of my

propecia use but he wasn't so much interested in that because i had never

experienced issues in the beginning and it's been 6 months since i quit. he

never suspected depression....ofcourse he had my lab results in front of him to

show him my T levels are hard to argue with. He did say that levels for my age

should definately be in the 600-800 levels...and not in the 400 area. he's

curious as to why my LH and FSH levels are hovering around the median to low

range and not higher. ofcourse he mentioned if they were very high and T was

low (below range that is) than it would scream testicular failure. also if my

LH/FSH were very low and T was low than something in my pituatory. he did say

that my LH at 3 is somewhat low though. he than did a physical examination and

agreed that my chest and abdominal fat doesn't fit with the rest of

my body. also after checking my testicles he asked how i felt about them? i

told him they used to be bigger! he did say the " Good news is your testicles

are not in atrophy...but they should be bigger by producing more T " . he's

curious as to what's going on in my head and why the signals aren't getting sent

to my testes to produce more T. he wanted some more lab work done and wrote a

lits of tests he's gonna do. i had blood drawn at 7am (had fasted for 12 hrs)

and the following tests are being done:

LH/FSH, Testosterone (free and total), IGF-1, Serum HCG, Estradiol, DHEAs,

Free T4,TSH,AntiTPO, Alpha Pheta protein, serum coritsol, ACTH, and a metabolic

panel.

He said the results should come back within 7-10 days...and to call him if I

haven't heard from him after 10 days. Also said I can email him. He also wants

to do a CT scan...but will schedule it once he rec'v the labs and reviews them.

I'll be scheduled a week after after the results are in. He didn't want to any

stimulation tests (as he mentions there are many more than just the clomiphene)

just yet. wants to do in steps..first the lab work, than scan (if necessary),

than stimulation test if needed. Also discussed HCG as at test/option. i would

like to conclude if my testicles are failing, slowly failing, or are fine.

overall i think the visit was productive. your thoughts? i know many have

had bad experiences with their Endo. is the above something you would consider

a bad experience? i was hoping to get a script for something that would help

diagnose if i'm primary or secondory hypo-G (or hypo-G at all) but was relieved

when he wanted to do some tests to better understand the underlying cause

first..and also suggesting the scan.

sorry for the long email....

Hi Jack,

I have to get tested again, Im hoping to be able to get my E2 and

total Estrogens handled, once I get the results I'll let you know. Im

hoping I won't need TRT once I get my estrogen's resolved.

Let me know how it goes with your endo, I would also be interested in

your results.

Thanks!

that shows I've had low T (between 270-440) over the last 7 months.

Also my LH levels show 7.2 about a month after I quit propecia but is

now at 3.4 6months later (range 2-9). body also show's signs of low T

or high E2..or both...as my frame doesn't call for the excess fat in

stomach or chest. i'm hoping to leave his office with some clues as

to how to find the underlying cause rather than a bandaid to fix it.
