Guest guest
Hi Suzanna, I can imagine that this is very frustrating. Please take a good look at it being caused by a food allergy. Keep a food and symptom diary. You can also do a food elimination test on your own, which would require some extreme dietary changes to try to determine if her problems are caused by an allergy. Best of luck to you. ar > > Since this is a very knowledgeable group I would like to ask an advise > for my 7 year old daughter. Guest guest
The following are suggestions only. Is she having 2-3 bowel movements daily? Symptoms of Candida? It will not hurt her to do a good parasite cleanse. Also, taking her off all milk, sugar and gluten may provide improvement. Re-populate the gut using a good spore-bearing probiotic at night. Be Well Dr.L [ ] Help with my Daughter Since this is a very knowledgeable group I would like to ask an advise for my 7 year old daughter. Now she keeps complaining about not able to breath(I think she cannot explain what is going on) and she shows her tummy. To me it is getting bloated and she gets gas.I took to homeopathic doctors, with different tests one said that she has pinworms, the other machine shows disturbance in the intestinal flora. It also shows she has difficulty breathing. I went to emergency and they did x-rays of the chest and ekg. Everything is normal. Is it possible that parasites can cause this type of disturbance and she is complaining every day. The western drs said there is nothing wrong, they also did a blood test. I am stuck. Guest guest
I would take " feeling like she can't breath " very seriously, regardless if the doctors tell you there is nothing wrong. There is just nothing that they can find. Don't be afraid to keep asking to see specialists... or take her to the urgent care if her breathing seems to be worse. Have the doctor's checked her vitamin D levels? That is probably grasping at staws, but if it was an easy problem, the doctors would have found it by now. http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2010-12/mgh-nwl122210.php Shortness of breath can also be associated with: - Kidney disease - Panic attacks / fear - Maybe need chiropractic (one article said that the ribs may not move eaily to allow breathing and chiropractic may help) - Babesia (a tick borne infection) can cause air hunger. I'm sure the doctor's didn't test for any of these things, except maybe kidney function. Patti > > Since this is a very knowledgeable group I would like to ask an advise > for my 7 year old daughter. Guest guest
From what little you describe it sounds like a digestive impairment. These can have many sources from allergies (or intolerances that do not show in allergy testing) to being in a state of 'shock' where the body goes into a flight or fight response. I presume that you have already consulted a nutritional therapist on this issue. SiobhanFriends/files
Guest guest
Suzanna, I am not a Doctor, but I have a question for you : Is she very tired too ? This could have many origins and I am thinking of course about food allergies starting with the big four.. : gluten, artificial sweeteners, colorants and dairies. It could be also something else and I am thinking about something discovered in CFS patients ... Another possibility could be a severe adrenals exhaustion... When her worst attacks happens mostly ? Indoor, outdoor, in the traffic, in a car ? Like in the case of asthma and epilepsy attacks , you can teach her how to recognize and to deal with the first symptoms and to switch to a calm deep breathing mode before the full attack happens .. Medical hypnosis is useful for this.. Please let me know..
Guest guest
> > I think adrenal exhaustion might be also, The attacks happen in confined spaces not in open air. Allergies I have tested, so this one probably > not. I am not using any sweeteners, dairies hardly. > ========================= It could be Suzanna,in this case she will exhibit also other symptoms like fears, extreme shyness and phobia.. and the attack will be worst in place where the qua;ity of air is very poor : traffic, tunnel, subway.. ---------------------- One another hypothesis will be : fire retardant. They are everywhere in the house and in your car and release very toxic gasses.... These chemicals include formaldehyde (a proven carcinogen), boric acid (roach killer), antimony trioxide (mimics arsenic), decabromodiphenyl oxide (banned in two states), Melamine (the chemical recently found in import pet food that sickened and killed pets across the country), Ammonium Polyphosphate, and vinylidene chloride A lot of people are allergic to fire retardant.. SEE : http://www.perfectionmattress.com/AA_Fire_Retardancy.html ----------------- A testimonial : My husband and I purchased the Tempurpedic mattress and pillows thinking it would be extremely comfortable and an investment. The first night I woke up in the middle of the night with shortness of breath, thinking I was either having a panic attack or asthma attack (which I only had one other time as a young child). I now realize it must have been the chemicals emitting from the mattress. ------------------- 56% of all infant carriers, 44% of all car seats, 40% of all strollers and 19% of all portable cribs were found to have high levels of halogenated fire retardants. Guest guest
I have adrenal exhaustion, but this is not one of my symptoms - which doesn't mean much, of course. However, the fact that she has her attacks in confined spaces may mean she is claustrophic, and there might not be another medical condition underlying this. Claustrophia and panic attacks. A word about allergy testing, get a copy of what they tested your daughter for. You might be surprised that they DIDN'T test for many things. For instance, I went through years of allergy testing, but was never tested for chicken and turkey - which I am actually allergic to. Also, not all those tests will look at minerals, metals, chemicals, etc. ar > > Hi,there!!! > > I think adrenal exhaustion might be also, The attacks happen in confined > spaces not in open air.
