Vitamin C! Can buy some Ascorbic Acid powder pretty cheap, and toss it into the

Jacuzzi. The text below says One Gram will neutralize 100 Gallons of chlorinated

water.

1) http://www.envirohealthtech.com/shower.htm

" Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) and sodium Ascorbate fully neutralize both chlorine

and chloramines. Ascorbic Acid is mildly acidic and sodium Ascorbate is in a pH

neutral form. Neutral form will require approximately 10% more to achieve the

same chlorine neutralization. One gram of Vitamin C will neutralize 1 ppm (part

per million) chlorine in 100 gallons of water. "

Hi Kate,

If you google neutralizing chlorine in water, you'll read that sodium

thiosulfate neutralizes chlorine instantly and it explains how to do it. Just

google that. Jacuzzies are suppose to be healthy but eventually the chlorine

will cause hardening of the arteries. Enjoy your vacation to one of the most

beautiful islands.

Hi,

Chlorine in pools etc act as a disinfectant to stop the spread of disease and

bacteria, I wont get in a spa unless it has been cleaned etc especially the

filter, and I have seen the required documentation of water testing etc. The

filters collect body fat etc, and as they are heated if not carefully monitored

can breed bacteria. There are regulations in New South Wales, and I am sure they

are where you are, that require commercial (which that would be classed as) spas

regarding cleaning and monitoring.

I personally would prefer the chlorine if the water has not been replaced from

the previous people.

kindest regards

Merri
