Guest guest
Thanks, had AML. The other parents who exprienced the ALL could probably give better perspective on their child's experience going to school / immune system. I know I really kept away from everything for 7+ months, but this isn't possible to do with ALL treatment because it lasts so long. On a side note, kinda cool that they do have research protocols for our kids. sp From: taniabsn1 <taniabsn@...>Subject: [ ] Re: Holding back from going on to Kindegarten in the fall???? We should hit maintenance sometime this spring and hopefully he will be allowed to go back to school. It scares me to let him out of the house. I want to protect him, yet I want him to experience life and be happy. We are in study AALL0331 and he was an early responder, but in the standard arm of things because of the DS. Guest guest
finished treatment in July when he was 38 months. I started him in preschool the following January, but pulled him out after 2 months as he was constantly sick and missed more than he was there. I started him again in Sept when he was just over 4 and it was much better that time around.  He has stayed with is age/peer group since then. (his birthday is in May)  For the first few years he got every sniffle that was going around but in the last few years has been better. In saying that, he has probably had 2 colds and the flu since January..... Hope that helps. From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Pearson Sent: Tuesday, February 23, 2010 6:59 PM Subject: Re: [ ] Re: Holding back from going on to Kindegarten in the fall????
