Tricia, I don't know what kind of air mattress you have, but I tried using a

cheapy years ago, and it just didn't give my lower back/butt enough support.

Currently I use a good normal mattress, with a board under it for support,

and a thin piece of eggcrate foam under a wool-stuffed mattress pad (Cuddle

Ewe) for cushioning. This works well for me.

We used the Sleepdry alarm for our son, now 11 years old. It worked great, although he will still have an occasional accident when he is sick or stressed, but not nearly as much as he used to. I used to be changing sheets 3 times a night and had to keep checking on him because he would sleep right through it and not wake up. Hope that helps-good luck!
