Hi,

Not a silly question at all as I also have experienced

same with Stones Green Ginger wine and any red

wine...both a no-no for me. I'm not a beer drinker so

can't help on that one.

I DO know I try to stay away from any alcohol which

has preservatives. Hopefully that might help.

Hope you had a fun night out anyway despite the

consequences.

Cheers

Lee

Hi ,

I can't drink alcohol, not only because I'm on MTX, but even before that

I had problems because of my fibromyalgia. Even just one glass of wine

will cause my muscles to seize the next morning. I don't think it's the

change in brands that are your problem unless, of course, there is an

ingredient in the Bud Light that you might have an allergy to. I don't

think they are all that different though. Alcohol is alcohol and you

might be experiencing an intolerance to it. Good luck.

[ ] Alcohol and PA

I have a silly question, has anyone else had any problems with alcohol

and

PA? The reason I ask is because last night I went out with some

friends,

and started drinking Wersteiner beer which is german, well they ran out

of

the light and Dunkle so I had to go to Bud Light. I hurt like hell

(please

excuse my language) and it's hard to even walk today. I was just

curious.

Keep in mind I'm not on any meds right now... I've been off them for a

week

to a week and 1/2 but didn't experience anything until after drinking.

Hello ,

Well I drink light beer and I'm of the opinion that PA is not going to rule

my life. So I go and enjoy myself. Maybe I have the wrong approach because

my feet hurt all the time anyhow.

Yes I had a blast, well deserved and long overdue! It was nice to spend

time with adults and got a belated birthday gift... not bad for a night. My

fiance plays in the band at the pub so it's twice as much fun for me!

I think you are very right. I've never hurt that badly in my life... I

could barely move and that's the first time I've had a problem after

drinking beer, so I thought it might be brands. I shouldn't be drinking

anyways and I know that =) But I needed " mommy time " ... Time to find a new

pastime??? lol

--- I believe it says on most of my bottles not to mix with alcohol.

Last time I drank I decided that It WILL BE THE LAST. Yes, it seems

to make it worse. I don't know if it is a reaction with the meds or

just the disease like with diabetes, you can't drink may be similar.

I for one am not gonna chance it its not worth the buzz to hurt the

next day. hope you feel better.

Alcohol always exacerbates my pain. At least anything over a single flass of

wine. Even that one glass may be a problem, but mornings are such a trial anyway

with all the pain and stiffness, it's hard to tell! Your description of feeling

like hell is right on the money. I try to avoid it most of the time.

Have a great holiday all of you PAers!

- can only speak from personal exp but. I find the beer causes me

problems also, I will still have one ( Wersteiner is good!) and the

consequences are bearable , have two and I don't want to get out of bed and

the day is purgatory. Yet, I can drink red wine in surprising amounts and

there aren't any problems I can tie to that. Have a friend with PA, she gets

same results but doesn't like red wine and drinks Chardonnay and does ok.

With a handle like " Celtichealing " you have to quaff something.Got my taste

at UD 30 years ago, best regards.

I don't like beer..however,

I do like to have a cab now and then....

funny thing is, that I feel better the next day....

dah?....Go figure, because I don't have a clue, as to how that would make me

feel better.

night and had a couple of beeer and today have noticed that my hands

are quite sore. I have experienced this to greater and lesser degrees

after drinking the night before and what is interesting is that the

amount of discomfort doesn't seem to directly relate to the amount of

beer I had the night before. I should also say that I rarely drink

these days and didn't drink much before either.
