Let me know, my girl loves her virtual friends. She loves nintendo game too.. ( ) Computer buddies for boys ages 7 to 12?The previous threads got me thinking that maybe there are some other boyslike my 9 year old son who would like a facebook or youtube buddy. My sonmakes Nintendo games and posts them--I think they're called hacks? It couldbe interesting to find other aspies who are obsessed with Nintendo gameslike my son and see if they can relate to each other. Let me know and we canexchange info. Thanks!

My son is 8 (almost 9), and he'd probably be interested. He mostly enjoys

playing Nintendo games. He isn't hacking anything.

Not what you think. A hack is a part of a game--not the entire game--rather a portion of it. That's just the name its been given. Hey, I thought the game playing parents should know this stuff, right? I've watched hours of what my kid puts together. Pretty neat stuff. Maybe a game designer in training?? I'll email addy in the morning with son's introduction, okay? Regards,

My son is only 6 1/2 but is definitely into anything video game and nintendo

related and would be interested I'm sure. Although he would probably need some

help. I don't know if he would be mature enough to relate to your son or not?

He doesn't make any games but probably would love to if someone showed him how.

Okay, I need to monitor things to, but have your son and yourself go to youtube.com and search for 3030sonic. That's my son's gaming channel. He's posted games to play and you should look it over with your son. There's a section to leave comments or chat, so see how that goes and then I guess we'll take it from there.

My son has a youtube channel. Go to youtube.com and then search: 3030sonic. My son has the games he's made to play as well as a variety of gaming things. There's a place to leave comments or chat. Let's take it from there and see if the kids interact at all. Regards,

My son is 8, and may also be interested. I would even like having someone he

could e-mail and talk to, since he is struggling so much with his peers. He

spends a lot of time playing on Club Penguin and Free Realms. These are

basically social networking sites for kids where they can talk (limited) and

play games. He has even made a few friends on these sites. Now if can do the

same thing in real life. I figure I will take any socializing I can!

Oh, neat. Have check out the site. My son won't be home until 5:30--group session today. He should be online after dinner, but homework will figure in there somehow. Please have your kids post some kind of comment. My son will be delighted to see that. He so wants friends, so hopefully this could have a positive ripple effect to the others that are more hesitant! Regards,

How does your son have a you tube account at age 9? I tried for my 9 yo gson and it would not let me do it. It simply stated ona blank page: "Sorry. Based on the information you have submitted to us, you are ineligible to register for YouTube.com." Any suggestions?

Thanks, Michele

Hey guys, I told my son that he would have some potential new friends visiting his site. Not sure if you all did or not, but he didn't get any new comments or intro's. Wondering what's up as I waited to tell my son until there was interest from the group. Now I've told him and not sure what to make of the lack of response.

I haven't heard of those. I'll run them by my son to see if he knows them. My son used to be totally obsessed with Roblox, but he had problems with online friends and got reprimands. That game was a mixed blessing. Sometimes kids were nice and other times he couldn't find anyone to play with online.

I did, and watched part of the video. Cute turtle, hehe. I also left him a message. I am floooopie, yes, with 4 o's. Find out how he got the acct. and I will get one for my grandson. Perhaps you just can't have an acct. as a 9 yo!! We will be happy to find out my grandson's actual diagnosis when my daughter meets with them and get the resuslts of theday long neuro psych testing he had done. I had neuro psych eval done many years ago, and it was very tiring. Looking forward to my grandson meeting your son online!!

Okay, his teenage brother (17 years old) set up the account and they started out together doing and learning, but now that my 9 year old knows how to do it, he doesn't need his brother's help. I watch his video's and his brother and I monitor for inappropriate situations. I also signed up to get an email alert when my son uploads a new video. I think very worth while to set up. Obviously, monitoring is necessary.

This sounds horrible, but you have to lie about your age/birthdate to get the account.

It really is simple. Just treat others kindly and with respect.
